This saturday in Glasgow. Gonzalez is Burns' mandatory challenger. Unknown quantity. He's 29, from Puerta Rica. 17 ko's in 22 bouts. He can bang a bit for sure, but not faced an opponent like Burns before. A step up in class for him. I think he's dangerous, but many disagree. He has the classic 'punchers chance'. I think he'll look to get close to Burns and rough him up, but the question is will he be capable of doing this. I think he stands a chance.

Burns lost the opening round,. Looks way too eager, way too rusty. This Rican looks handy.

If Burns sticks to the jab he can make this easy.

Much better from Burns in the third. Finding the range now and getting closer. Not sure what fight Jim Watt is watching.

He's still taking too many shots on the way in but he's definitely finding his range.

The jab is working but he still looks rusty / reckless. Nice body shot landed

This guy is shifty but Burns needs to just keep walking him down, getting his own shots off, see how ILLUSIVE this guy is later on, but he has to make him work.

Gonzalez won around 20 seconds of the 5th and Watt goes ga ga.

Burns has really had to work to get close and win the last couple of rounds, whilst this guy never seems to be getting out of his comfort zone, which is worrying. Watt (who I cant stand by the way) is wrong in the scoring but right about the pattern of the fight.

Gonzalez didn't do a whole load in the 6th but Watt waxes over every shot. Burns looks like dirt, partly because of his opponents talent, partly because of inactivity and the legal issues/distractions.

Gonzalez punching wide and sloppy now. He made a mistake there, there was no need to get wild and Ricky hurt him on the inside. Crowd into it now too.

:bears: great round. Gonzalez best advised to stick to his boxing now....whoever comes out the best after that round will win it, for once I agree with Watt. Ricky was smiling at the end of it.

Gonzalez legs look leaden. Burns carrying the 8th for me. If Gonzelez took a round off that is one thing, but I think something is gone out of him, Burns raked his ribs in that round, pivoted fuck out of him
