I jumped on loadedgloves for saying Khan was a better fight for Floyd, but I guess thinking about it, Garcia is too damn slow and cumbersome to really have any success against Floyd. Although he has more ringsmarts than Khan, he'll look utterly basic in there with Floyd.

At least the Khan fight will be pretty fun until it turns into target practice and Khan gets KO'd.

Nah, quitting would take divergent, counter factual thought. 'I am boxing. boxing i am doing. i am boxer, innit. pump arms quickly leap, block'.

True, I don't think Khan has the braincells required for the the self awareness and thought process necessary to quit. Boxbot all the way.

There's no doubt about it. As of now, Khan's heart can't be questionned.

given that the little bit of success guerrero had was counter shots, i'm surprised everyone is so negative about garcia.

not that i'd pick him to win, but he obviously has a great chin and very good timing. he's much better than khan who wouldn't do shit against pbf.

i give pbf credit. i think he's smart enough to know which fighters to stay away from.

More people are now agreein with what I said a while back, that khan would be problematic for mayweather jr early on

Khan can't punch, has no chin and even his defense isn't that great. This guy just went life and death with Julio Diaz. I have zero interest in that fight he gets bashed up.

Nobody it appears there is no competition at 147 and below. The only halfway interesting fights are at 154. I was just pointing out that Khan is pretty worthless these days. Garcia would lose badly to Mayweather as well but at least he's a bit more deserving I guess.

Exactly how I see it, that's why I argued with people in the first place about Garcia/Khan. Garcia also stands 0 chance, but he is more deserving than Khan at least.

Btw Val, I've been too influenced by my fellow fightbeaters, you're right, Khan has no power, defense, or chin, and is a total moron. I'll stick to my guns, even the early rounds won't be "interesting". I'll be surprised if he wins a round.

The only interesting thing will be Khan doing his baby deer jig, skating round the ring on flailing wobbly legs :kidcool:

Canelo is not good at cutting the ring, plus he's breathing hard by the middle rounds. Floyd will make this an endurance fight. He will pick Canelo apart with relative ease.

So PBF will get flack for asking Canelo to fight him at a catchweight. Yall want PBF to fight Canelo at 154lbs when PBF has never even weighed in at 154lbs in the fights he's fought there. Like the article states he's only weighed 151lbs but then they want him to fight a dude that enters the weight at a fucking super middleweight. Get the fuck outta here. If' I'm PBF hell yea I'm putting stipulations on perhaps a catchweight and how much he can gain entering the ring. I mean I know we all want PBF in there against the best but fuck we are asking PBF to do something that no other fighters are expected to do. Not to mention the dude would be fighting against a cat that is how much younger than him. Ya'll kill me. I'll Holla 5000

Mayweather jr giving up 20+lbs and beating Alvarez would be a greater accomplishment than jones jr beating Ruiz

    BULLSHIT...

Alvarez HAS TO MAKE 154...Ruiz had the Luxury of Weighing WHATEVER he Wanted to Weigh....If Canelo DIDN'T have to WEAKEN Himself, Prior to the Fight, You MIGHT Have a Point....

    MIGHT...

I would rate it as a greater victory than jones jr over Ruiz. He has to weaken himself some, but young fighters are able to cut weight effectively and how much he weakens himself is debatable. I expect the guy to stay at 154 for a few more years. In the ring his weight advantage % wise would be greater than ruiz's was

Ruiz Outweighed Roy by 33lbs AT THE WEIGH-IN...No Telling How Much MORE he Gained, After the Weigh-In...

What we KNOW is, Ruiz Fought 2 Weight Classes HIGHER than Roy Jones, when they Fought...Canelo Campaigns a Mere 7lbs Higher AND Floyd's Already Won 2 World Titles in the SAME Division Canelo's in...Hell, Floyd was a Jr. Middleweight Titlist PRIOR to Canelo....

No Way in Hell Does Floyd-Canelo Even REMOTELY Compare to Roy Jones Climbing 2 Divisions, to Fight for A Heavyweight Title....

Alvarez looks fucking small to me. He is evidently bigger than he looks given what he weighs in the ring, but he has a smallish frame even at welter. In pictures of him next to Oscar, Oscar looks significantly the bigger man.

I think it'll be an easy win for Floyd. Ginger is better than I thought, impressive timing and accuracy, but he is slow, predictable, with a subpar workrate and stamina.

Plus the main thing is, he is shorter than Floyd, with shorter reach. Exactly the kind of guy Floyd can control easily. Floyd struggles with faster guys, or taller, rangier guys. Alvarez has nothing to trouble Floyd.

Canelo's also a much better fighter than Ruiz was. It's not even close, Floyd beating Canelo is a better win than Roy over that POS average heavyweight Ruiz.
