Cotto was alright, Guerrero not really. As much as I like and rooted for Guerrero I knew he didn't have a chance.

Guerrero just beat a top ten welterweight, he's a solid opponent. He had zero chance because Mayweather is a lot better than the other guys in his division. It doesn't make him a shit opponent.

Pretty sure Alvarez took his foot off the gas because of the open scoring, it didn't just effect Trout.

Not a shit opponent no, but clearly not a guy who had a realistic chance of winning, or really had a style to bother Floyd.

Berto fucking sucks. I've been saying it for years. He's lucky he didn't fight Mosley when it was planned.

Is he a top ten ranked welterweight or not?

He is. Even that version of Mosley would have fucked him up. Berto is basically a hype job.

Maybe before he got whooped by Guerrero. So you're going mikE on me now and citing rankings?

    of course

my only point is that Floyd is a welterweight champ... and champs defend against the top guys in their division... Guerrero by beating a top ten guy, made himself a top contender. Floyd defended against him. Is it a fight we were all clamoring for? No. Is it a legit, acceptable title defense? Certainly. The fact is that there isn't a whole lot of quality out there to begin with. On top of that, you have these promotional wranglings that eliminate a good half of whatever IS out there, so there are a finite number of guys for Floyd to fight in his division or just outside of it.

Eat shit. I'm not going by alphabet soup bullshit that mikE jerks off to. I'm going by CONSENSUS. Berto was a top ten welter by common fucking sense when Guerrero beat him (he probably still is right on the cusp)

I can't disagree with that. I thought it was a laughable fight at first, especially since it seemed like only yesterday Gurrardo was a lightweight, but the truth is he's not that bad even at welter. He'd bash clowns like Khan and Alexander for sure.

And though we'd all like to see him against Ginge or Martinez, the truth is at 147 the options are extremely limited.

Sad but true, Berto is probably still a top 10 welter, I don't think there are 10 fighters that would beat him.

    Exactly

that is all I am saying... I detest Floyd, he's a huge cunt, but the fact is that there are a finite number of possible matches of any respectability for him to make at the weight... no matter who he fights, we are going to feel like he's a huge favorite... part of that is because he's really good and part of it because potential opponents just aren't

Don't you think Canelo would beat anyone Floyd has fought since moving up to 140?

Ahh, so Wald Pussy gets shit on for dominating when the HW division is shit, but Floyd gets a pass. You sound like a guy who "Hates" Floyd alright.

Floyd beats his opponents by actively partaking in the sport of boxing and the act of fighting... his opponents are by and large more skillful and he dominates them in an aesthetically pleasing fashion by repeatedly discombobulating them to the domepiece with straight right hands while eluding their punches

wald pussy (lowercase w, lowercase p, get that shit proper) clinches and hugs and leans on his fat, slovenly bum opponents and treats each one as if they were a killer...

if you like the sport of boxing, you have to see one as being far more ideal than the other... I dislike Floyd because he is a horrible cunt who was at least half responsible for denying boxing fans the only truly essential fight of the last ten years and wholly responsible for avoiding a couple of guys a few years back who would have given him a chance to prove the greatness he always crows about having

seriously... would you rather watch wald pussy against some bum like Mormeck or Mayweather vs. Guerrero, who if nothing else is a reasonably skillfull, contending veteran?

I don't think Guerrero would beat either Alexander of Khan, much less bash them. He was a joke of an opponent who barely scrapped by Selcuk Aydin

Are you guys seriously arguing whether Ruiz was better than Canelo Alvarez? Ruiz isn't better than Rigoberto Alvarez.

Well he beat him clearly, and Khan barely scraped by Julio fucking Diaz, got KTFO twice, and got outhustled by Peterson, who is clearly worse than Guerrero. I mean seriously wtf. Gurrero is a much better fighter than Khan.
