When was the last time he fought someone as fragile as Khan? Khan just got bouced around the canvas by Julio Diaz.

I'm not sure if he is trolling or not. He talks about Guerrero "squeaking by" Aydin (he won 9 rounds) in his first welterweight fight, while comparing to Khan, who just almost just lost to Julio Diaz

Guerrero certainly didn't won 9 rounds vs Aydin unless you can't score a fight. Sure Khan looked bad vs Diaz, and he is full of flaws, but he also has far better wins than Guererro has. He is by no means a lock or anything but I'd figured he'd be a favorite

Guerrero couldn't knock Escobedo who's pretty fragile. Sure Khan's easy to hurt but he ain't really easy to finish. If he was, he wouldn't have lasted vs Maidana and Peterson.

Guerrero Vs Khan would look very similar to Peterson Vs Khan, except more 1 sided in favour of Guerrero, as he's better than Peterson.

If he didn't stop Khan, he'd probably win 8 rounds to 4, and completely dominate the second half of the fight, where Khan would be holding on for dear life, and doing the baby deer skating around the ring routine.

And BTW although Guerrero looked crap against Aydin and struggled, he won clearly. Aydin was competitive, but Rob won at least 8 rounds.

And Alexander? Neil you have to be kidding me. Alexander is a bitch. After getting roughed up for a few rounds by Gurrardo, he'll decide he doesn't want anymore and shut down, maybe quit again like he did against Braddles.

I don't think Canelo definitely beats Oscar.

Beat me to it, although i would make Canelo a favorite over the current Cotto obviously. Even a sharper Mosley would have been interesting.

its pretty clear to me that mosley was excellent his whole career until he fought mayweather jr. at that point the TMT brain trust all realized mosley sucked so they picked him as a foe.

however, he was able to maintain his relative level of suckiness up until he fought alvarez. so clearly they faced the same version of mosley.

guerrero easily beats khan, and though alexander is probably the stinkiest fighter in boxing right now, and somehow a favorite of the judges, having gotten a gift over both mathysse and maidsna, guerrero beats him as well, probably with even more ease.

I think he probably does by this point, but I agree in principle that it is not a foregone conclusion by any means

Not only does Canelo beat Cotto, he stops him.

I'm a big Cotto fan, and considered him underrated in recent years - but based on their recent form I'd have to make the Ginge a clear favourite.

Canelo would whup Cotto at this point in time, I'm not a huge fan of either so no bias here

I think the Irish, Mexican Ginge beats this version of Cotto.

I just read that Floyd is trying to get Canelo down to 147. He doesn't want a catchweight, he just wants him to drop a whole weight class.

Be consistent though. Did you have an issue when Pacquiao was weakening fighters at the scales in exchange for career high paydays?

I did. So I would hate this too.

    :giggle:

Floyd doesn't want to fight Canelo....

This is similar to Pacquiao wanting Mosley(after destroying Margarito) to come down all the way to 142...Pac had no problem fighting Cotto at 145 and Clottey at 145-147? but since Mosley look beastly destroying Margarito....no way he would fight him at anything over 142...but after Mayweather(beat up Mosley) a fight against a recently dominated Mosley was okay at 145-147...

I think it's stupid no matter who does it. I tend to give Pac a bit more of a pass because he's a fucking midget. Let's not act like Mayweather and Manny are even close to the same size.

True...Pacquiao in 2 1/2 fought Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, DLH all guys that look and were much, much bigger than him. FLOYD has been at 147 for 8 YEARS...

If Manny had been at welterweight for 8 years I would cut him exactly zero slack if he was asking guys to come in under the limit. The guy is fucking tiny at 147. There are LW's bigger than Manny.

Don't worry neil, he will find a way to pussy out of the fight. If he intended to fight him he would have had Canelo on the card and done much better PPV numbers.
