Froch is definitely vulnerable to speed. Ward and to a lesser extent Dirrell and Taylor showed that Froch deals poorly with outright speed. But Kessler isn't that type of fighter; he is a much more typical European, straight and solid punching type of fighter. I'd be very surprised if he KO-ed Froch.

Yeah, I see it the same way. Kessler KO not impossible, just not very likely.

Kessler will go for the kill since it's in england and he knows a close fight equals a loss on the cards.

I think going for the kill equals a sure win for Froch... Kessler's got no chance if he abandons his clear advantages in technical skill

Frock must have stolen your lunch money at a fight, your hate for him is illogical.

    Frock by clear UD.

Not that he's going to go out there all crazy, he doesn't fight like that, but I think he is going to be more aggressive.

I can't see Kessler KO'ing Froch, but Kessler did manage to land a telling shot in their first fight that made Froch dip at the knees. Still, Froch has a chin and a half. I think Froch will start aggressively and force Kessler on the back foot, forcing Kessler back against the ropes. If Froch can win the early rounds I think he'll also finish the stronger. Froch UD

Froch by ko, which will be another proof that he's a better greater fighter than that welsh coward

Don't really see those, tbh. He has better balance fosho, but Froch has better angling and a more versatile jab. Pretty much a wash, in my book

Kessler has straighter punches and a neater, less sloppy looking style, but yeah, I think Frock is at least as skilled, and probably a bit craftier in the ring actually.

Yeah it will really prove he's better than Joe by going 1-1 with a guy Calzaghe beat clearly 5 and a half years ago. Great logic. :dunno:

No, he's already a better greater fighter than that coward, it will only be another proof of it. At a similar stage in theyr career, the coward was going on a streak of terror by beating a murderous row of the finest bible belt fighter and robbing Robbed Reid, while Froch has fought and beaten numerous world class fighters

I think he's far more economic, throws his shots straighter, harder to hit as well

Froch's advantages don't serve him well if it is a chess match, Kessler's serve him more

Not saying it's Mike McCallum vs. Frank "The Animal" Fletcher, but if this is more of a boxing match, it is better for Kessler than it is for Froch

yeah. I mean its easier to throw straight punches when you're squarer. And easier to throw them in bunches with good balance over the front foot and out a high guard. But there's technical disadvantages those things, as well

Not saying Calzaghe has a better resume but beating Kessler at the second attempt 5 and a half years after Joe had already done it proves absolutely fuck all in the Froch vs Calzaghe argument

Fair enough. Yeah I'd probably agree actually....but i don't think the advantage is very big either way, they're both basically B grade technicians....froch probably B-.

Agree, just saying it is better for Kessler to box and not brawl

So how about you BLOW ME, son?:fist:

Froch is hilariously bad, technically. He carries his hands stupidly low and winds up on daft uppercuts which almost always miss because he thinks he has Roy Jones Jr-esque speed but he is actually about as fast as a stoned sloth.

Ouch! Fletcher had some crazy-exciting fights back in the day, but I cringe to imagine him in there with McCallum, or even worse, Hearns. He actually had a title shot lined up with Hagler before blowing it by losing to Wilford Scypion. That would have been really ugly for Fletcher.

I want to see Froch lose again just so he will STFU, he's more annoying and obnoxious than Broner.

yeah, pretty much a wet dream for McCallum, a guy who goes right at him winging punches, perfect compliment to all of his best skills and none of his weaknesses... Few guys were more fun to watch against an aggressive guy than McCallum was, he loved to carve them up... same with Toney and Sal Sanchez

    REED's Going w/Froch...

The 1st Bout Should've/Could've Been a DRAW & Likely WOULD'VE Been, on Neutral Soil...Jabs & Right Hand Bombs were Exchanged on EQUAL Terms, but Froch Also Found Success w/Looooping Lefts and Uppercuts...He Actually Landed the More TELLING Blows in REED's Opinion, as Well...

Froch Fought @ an OVERLY Measured Pace in the 1st Bout, which Cost Him...If he Fights w/the URGENCY & MALICE that he Showed vs. Bute (a HARDER Puncher than Kessler), Froch Can get Kessler Out of there as Well...This is a STATEMENT Fight for Froch; He'll WANT to Impress & he WILL...

    Froch TKO 10...
