Yeah, and according to the official record, Zsolt Erdei was the LHW champion of the world in 2001, when the object of your gay lust was at 175 lbs. Who gives a shit?

No, you fucking retard. It says $450m is the combined total. The individual total for one of those films was $300 million. Do you think industry estimates were off by $100 million? Even $50 million? Do you realize how dumb it makes you sound to say that? How many millions do you think they were off on "Tangled," a much easier figure to nail down since it was an ANIMATED film?

You don't understand what "speculation" means. Speculation is only used for one film mentioned on that entire page. The rest are based on educated estimates made using hard data, knowledge, and experience, by professional researchers & industry insiders.

Aside from that, once again, the argument was whether or not a children's film could cost $200 million, not whether or not Spider-Man 3 is the most expensive film or not. I stated this already, it seems your lack of reading comprehension and/or clear need to save yourself from further humiliation led you to ignore it. Remember when I told you to look up the definition of a "strawman fallacy?" You obviously didn't.

That's great that you still have the same interests you did when you were a small child. Bet you'll be first in line at the theater with a whistle on your head if/when they make a Thomas The Tank Engine or Arthur movie. Regarding the romantic aspects of the films, THE COMICS THEMSELVES HAVE ROMANTIC ASPECTS. Duh? Plus, I understand your childhood didn't include this, but many "tweens" have girlfriends who are interested in such things as well.

2001, eh? Wow, you're old school.

One of the terrible things about the spread of the internet's popularity to the point where even hillbillies who barely know how to use a computer had access was that, well, hillbillies who barely knew how to use a computer were inflicted on the rest of us.

Also, you responded to me here. I didn't respond to you. Dumbass.

I have 14 year old female cousins & nieces, so does my wife. I should note that in spite of being 14 year old girls, *most* of them don't type like douches who think they're being unique or clever, though. You type like a bitch. Your typing is the equivalent of a faggot saying everything in a sing-song voice because they think it's "cutesy."

"Hindu" isn't a language, you ignorant slob. Your attempt at bringing my ethnicity into this (? second time you've done this, if that's what you're doing) reeks of desperation.

Aside from all the other points I owned you on and you started conveniently ignoring, let me break down the last sticking point you're desperately clinging to for you. I'll make it really simple. Even your REETARDED ass should be able to understand this:

    1. You claimed children's films did not cost "$200million-ish"

    2. I showed you a wikipedia page which illustrates that at the very least, many industry insiders have estimated the budgets of several children's films as being well in excess of $200 million.

    3. The most expensive two films on the list were children's films.

    4. The estimates are the LOWEST BOUND estimates, as indicated by the page itself.

    5. Even if the figures are not exactly accurate, the idea that the LOWEST BOUND estimates could be too high by ~30% (the number necessary to drop them out of the "$200million-ish" realm) is absurd. If anything, the budgets are likely higher.

    6. Once again, though the PoC film cited and "Tangled" very likely are in fact the most expensive films on the list - you certainly have nothing to present to the contrary - they don't have to be for them to be "$200million-ish," which was your initial point and the one I argued. If you can't defend this initial statement (which you can't), you have no argument (which you don't), and you should shut up now.

I heard/read that this film was a departure from the generic norm, and some friends of mine wanted to see it as well. I think any film has the potential to be good regardless of genre, it's just that everything (or almost everything) I've seen from this genre has sucked thus far. It's basically a gold mine that Hollywood is going to keep tapping until it runs dry (i.e., people get tired of it).

Have You Even Read YOUR OWN Link???...For Real, Have You???...All Bullshit Aside???...

For the 223rd Time, YOUR Link States, in PLAIN ENGLISH that Spiderman "Officially Holds the Record"...Does it or Does it Not???....Fuuuuurthermore, when Pirates of the Caribbean is Noted, YOUR Link Mentions POC: Dead Man's Chest AND POC: At Worlds End, which "Were PRODUCED TOGETHER on a COMBINED BUDGET of $450 Million"...Does YOUR Link Not Use THOSE EXACT FUCKING WORDS, as REED has Quoted, or Not???...

Yes, they Do...& Since they Do, you're DEVOID of a Point Here...Nonetheless, you Persist in a FUTILE Excercise of Trying to Prove What Exactly???...You Shut YOUR OWN Argument Down w/YOUR OWN Link, a Day or 2 AGO...An Impressive Display of SELF OWNAGE, if Ever There was 1...

English ISN'T REED's 2nd Language, it's YOURs, so No Need in Asking if REED Knows what "Speculation" or Formulaic" Means...YOU'RE the 1 that Needs a Refresher Course on WHAT Various Words Mean, NOT REED...Again, the OPENING PARAGRAPH or YOUR Link SHITS on Virtually Every Word you've Typed in This Thread...

Now that You've Established, Confirmed & RE-Affirmed your Pure, Unadulterated IDIOCY, Allow REED to Wipe his Ass w/your Next "Point"...

You Are Aware that Animated Films AREN'T Necessarily Made for Children, Right???..."Tangled", the Movie YOU Noted, Carries a PG Rating, Meaning PARENTAL GUIDANCE...Was the "Brief, Mild Violence" Placed in the Film to Target CHILDREN, Dipshit???...Was the On-Screen DEATH of a Character in "Up" Supposed to ATTRACT Children???...Just Because a Film is Animated, DOESN'T Automatically Qualify it as a "Children's" Piece...Is Southpark for Kids???...The Simpsons???...Family Guy???...What about Heavy Metal or Beowulf???...How about Avatar, which was Rated PG-13???...

It's COMICAL How Fucking ABSOLUTE you Are...

If Comic Book Flicks are Intended for Children, what about Fiction Novels???...Sci-Fi???...Where's the Line of Demarcation???...

Now, REED's about to Put a NAIL in the Coffin of the Remainder of your "Points"...

    1. REED Said Films w/200 Mil Budgets WEREN'T "Made for 10 Year Olds" & they're NOT..."Tangled", the Movie YOU Referenced, Carries a PG Rating, so a 10 Year COULDN'T Even See the Shit By Himself...Tangled is a FAMILY Flick, which is DIFFERENT from Some G-Rated Kids Flick...If you Have Children, SURELY You Can Recognize the Difference between a Kids Oriented Film Starring the Wiggles, for Instance, & a FAMILY Flick like "Up"???...

    2. It's Already Been Established that You CAN'T Comprehend the Verbiage in YOUR Link...You've REPEATEDLY Misquoted Which Movie is SAID to have the Largest "Official" Budget AND You've Overlooked THE FACT that "Tangled" & "Avatar" AREN'T "Made for 10 Year Olds", but in FACT Carry PG & PG-13 Ratings...

    3. You're CLUELESS as to What a "Children's Film" REALLY Is...Animation DOES NOT Automatically Mean a Film is Intended for Children...Duly Note the Examples REED's Already Provided (Beowulf, Heavy Metal, Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, Boondocks, etc.)...

    4. You've OWNED YOURSELF by Virtue of YOUR OWN Link...Are you a Glutton for Punishment???...
    5. Explain WHY the 1st Paragraph of YOUR Link CLEARLY STATES Spiderman as Having the "Official Record" if it Really DOESN'T???...
    6. YOUR OWN Link Presents Something to the Contrary; Spiderman 3...If it DOESN'T CLEARLY STATE that, WHYthefuck is it Listed in the Opening Paragraph???...

There...REED's Addressed Every Real & Imagined Point You THOUGHT You Had...Now All You're Left w/is IDIOCY, Motion Picture IGNORANCE, a FALSE Sense of what a "Kids" Film Really Is & your Perpetually PISSY Attitude...& Since You're All Sensitive about Racial Humor, Put THAT in your 7-11 Slurpee & Suck It, Bollywood Beeyotch!!!...

I will mostly cut & paste here, since I've already addressed the points you're just restating due to your appalling lack of reading comprehension.

You used the words "speculation" and "formulaic" incorrectly, clearly illustrating you had no idea what they meant. I can show you exactly how and why, if you like.

Anyway.. I've been speaking English since I was 2 years old & have authored papers that are longer than anything your bumpkin ass has ever read (not saying much, I'm sure, but still). I know you being a sheltered backwoods hick means you think nobody can speak more than one language proficiently (shit, you can't even speak ONE language proficiently), but that just isn't the case. No one on this forum, including you, would have ever guessed that English was my second language unless I told them. I know you get all excited at the idea of being more eloquent or articulate than anyone beyond the age of the target audience for your average superhero film, sorry. Oh, and to burst your ironically-bigoted bubble further, I speak with a standard Midwestern American accent. I was born & raised in the US, so I'm acceptably "American" (read: "white") by the inferiority complex you, as another minority, have so pathetically internalized.

Also, I found the implication (unintentional, no doubt; your command of the language isn't even good enough to understand the nuances of what you yourself are saying) that you speak a 2nd language to be hilarious. Imagine a country ass motherfucker like you being bilingual.. I'd be surprised if you own a passport.

Well, at least you're cleaning your ass.

Now we're at a point where you're stretching to compare "Tangled," a princess fairy-tale, to "South Park," "simpsons," etc. South Park was rated R, Simpsons rated PG-13. A PG rating doesn't mean shit, it is effectively "G." The first movie I ever took my boys to see in the theater was "The Lorax," a film adaptation of a Dr Seuss book. "Lorax" was rated PG. "Brief, mild violence" doesn't occur in children's movies now? "Lion King" had a death on-screen. The "magical" ratings are G/PG for kids movies, PG-13 for tween superhero movies. Why do you think none of these superhero movies are rated R?

Common Sense Media's ratings for "Tangled" say its most appropriate for 5-6 year olds.

    http://www.commonsensemedia.org/movie-reviews/tangled

No one would say such a thing about the Simpsons or South Park. Your attempt at drawing an analogy here is just straight up stupid.

Also, re: Avatar, that reminds me - Avatar's official budget was $237 million. Industry estimates put the final budget at around $280mil. Avatar was a CGI film that took a little under 4 years to make (lots of legwork was put in that wasn't factored into the final budget). "Tangled" was a CGI film using the same new technology that started production BEFORE Avatar & finished after (affects production costs). How much do you think "Tangled" cost to make?

This is question is really amazingly dumb. I'll answer it if you really want me to, but I suggest you just withdraw it and pretend like it never happened. You can edit your post, even. Spare yourself some dignity & the illusion that you're worth the space you occupy on this planet (or that you would be if you dropped ~100 lb or so of lard).

See above. I already established why this is wrong and you are stupid, though I'm sure you're just going to regurgitate the same exact points I've already addressed once again, because you're such a mentally crippled dullard. Also, a 10 year old certainly could see a PG movie by themselves. Why the hell wouldn't they be able to? Are you saying a 10 year old would be denied entry into "The Lorax?" If so, by who? Is this a state or federal law, or is this something enforced by individual theaters? Or is this just something you made up in your fat empty head?

Yes, as I showed above, "Tangled" would not be appropriate for 10 year olds, since most 10 year olds are past the "fairy princess" etc age (or I imagine they would be). Your attempt at conflating a PG rating with a PG-13 rating is either yet another desperate grasp at saving face or indicative of a tenuous grip on reality.

An animated Disney film that has its own line of dolls marketed at the Disney Store.. is usually meant for children.

Already all addressed, once again. You are arguing with yourself about Spider-Man 3. You have yet to look up the concept of a "strawman fallacy," I'm not sure at this point that it would even help if you did.

That's really original & clever. *insert something about fried chicken, smoking crack and being on welfare* (though I guess if you smoked crack, you wouldn't be the black version of Joe King)

Neither of those are Muslim names. Every time you venture away from a topic that doesn't involve snack foods prepared using partially-hydrogenated oils, you demonstrate your ignorance.

India & Pakistan are not the "Middle East." See above, re: your ignorance.

What topic were your articles on? Let me guess, opinions on boxing, "published" on a shitty website. Did you have a professional editor? (Rhetorical question). I've been published in print on topics you would be utterly lost trying to follow (then again, you'd be utterly lost trying to follow Blues Clues, which you would also probably try to argue had an intended audience of 45 year olds like yourself).

You clearly haven't seen or experienced a lot of diversity or culture in your lifetime, as demonstrated above (eg, thinking the Subcontinent is the Middle East, using Hindu names for a Muslim). The cities you named aren't exactly cosmopolitan - Dallas & Atlanta can be if you know where to look (I've lived in both places myself), but you wouldn't. St Louis is just a hopeless shithole, I'm not even sure why you would mention living there.

I grew up in Minneapolis, fairly diverse & cosmopolitan city. Lots of culture, art, bookstores, very Bohemian vibe. Not quite the same as whatever shitty part of Dallas you live in. I left when I was 17.

Great. Tell me what's wrong with this sentence from a grammatical perspective:

"After being thoroughly owned on fightbeat, reed's posts grew less coherent & increasingly desperate."

I'm sure you'll try to dodge the question/work around it by making some attempt at a lame witticism like "there's NATHAN right about that sentence!!!" but remember, I'm asking from a purely grammatical perspective. This should be easy even for you, but I wouldn't be surprised if you have no idea what to do.. if you can't answer this simple question, you have no business claiming even the most basic knowledge of the English language.

You know what's really ironic, from a racial joke perspective? A black dude who can barely read & has amply demonstrated his sub-literacy, calling out someone else based on racial stereotypes in the same thread where he demonstrated said sub-literacy. Surely even you're more self-aware than this.

Oh, well. I'll let you know if I need my shoes polished.

Once again, you responded to me, dumbass. But like I said, it's all good. When faced with messageboard janitors, I don't mind cleaning up.

Whatever you say, you round little bitch *pinches chubby cheeks & slaps his ass*

I owned you on every single possible point to the point where you've just started ignoring what I'm saying. Re: "animation equating to kid flicks," as I said, in the case of a Disney animated movie based on a children's fairy tale, with dolls & other merchandise marketed toward children sold in the Disney store, etc etc, it's safe to conclude it's a "children's film."

I guess I can't really expect you to know much about children's films, though. I'm sure you haven't been around to be a dad to any of the rugrats you've fathered with random chickenheads.
