Exactly. Tyson fought Julius fucking Francis in Manchester and sold out the MEN. I remember the scenes in Brixton when people were climbing lamp posts to get a glimpse of him and traffic came to a standstill. Khan is a seller in his own right over here, a Mayweather fight would be fucking huge. Floyd knows it himself after the reaction he got during a public training session at the Peacock gym:

Once they fight the best guys they dont need to leave the UK. They sell out stadiums because they are top of their game.

An untested Hatton does not sell out stadiums, he was a big draw because he proved himself.

After the Froch fight it was a 'love in' between himself and Kessler but he did say that he wanted the fight. Give it another week or so and Carl will be on Sky Sports calling out Ward

Guerrero is completely unknown here. Khan is a big star in the UK.

I do think Khan needs one or two emphatic wins over name opposition before the fight can be considered credible to the casual fan, though.

You guys might think I'm crazy, but I think JMM would be a good fight for Khan. Khan is much bigger, faster, and rangy enough that if he fought the right fight there's no reason he shouldn't be able to take an aging smaller guy like JMM. Worth the risk for him. Other than that, who else can he fight who wouldn't kill him? Kell Brook, maybe?

    Irrelevant

Mayweather is the best of his generation, as SRR was of his, so the comparison is valid

Yeah I've always said Khan beats JMM, the styles and attributes are all heavily in his favour.

I used to think Khan had the style to beat Marquez, like a couple of years ago. But not with the newfound knowledge of their most recent few fights, I would actually pick this juiced version of Marquez to fucking flatten Khan.

The Prescott fight is not recent   And the knowledge that floweth from that fight was that Khan were chinny, lah.

ray robinson was apparently a magnificent welterweight. from what i say as an older guy with 3 digits in the fight column he was a helluva middleweight. not really fair to compare him to a guy who started out 17 lbs below him.

marquez is the greatest fighter of the past quarter century, he KOs khan even now. for sure.

it's arguable that marquez is the greatest. i'd still rate floyd above him, but marquez did fight pac four times and at least won 3. aside from the lopsided loss to floyd (where floyd held a distinctive size advantage), it's also debatable that marquez never lost. to me, he's kinda like too sharp johnson where he was avoided in his prime but was great enough to get major fights as he got older and actually won meaningful fights that will ultimately define his career.

Too Slap's later fights defined him as a loser; JMM's later fights defined him as a juicer.

I don't think it's arguable that Whitaker, Jones, Floyd and Pac are greater. I'd add Chavez to that personally, too.

I think Marquez is flatout better and greater than Chavez.
