Have to favour 'Empty Egg' Alvarez.....he's a sharp/hard enough puncher to make williams pay for how many openings he leaves
Williams outworks him... Mac Canellagh may land some sharp counters here and there but it is not enough, unless the fight is in Mexico with open scoring and Williams finds himself down 6 rounds to 1 despite landing 200 more punches
Thinking about it more, I'd definitely pick Paul, without a doubt. Canelo is fucking lazy in the ring, he takes so much time off. Paul would swarm the shit out of him, and just score more points. Sure he got KHTFO (haha hba ahbaaa habhaba ) by Martinez, but I don't think Canelo hits anywhere near as hard as Martinez, who grew into a pretty legit middleweight with good power.
Swarmers are always vulnerable to guys who can pick out hard single shots, I tells ya. Styles heavily favour empty egg Alvarez.
Canelo wouldnt necessarily have to KO him to get the better of things. He hits too hard for williams to walk through them, imo and he'd hit Williams hard & clean, allot.
Canelo has legit power and is very very accurate, Williams isn't going to walk through that. Honestly I never thought much of Williams, I always thought of him as a larger version of Juan Diaz.
PWill had more power and was tougher, I guess. Still got outboxed by Quintana & starched cold by Martinez. I think Canelo would be too much for him.
