Ward's all wrong for Froch. I don't want to see that again. Just take it on the chin, Carl. You'll end up losing your titles to him.

What other fights are out there though? Groves or Degale might be bigg-ish but I don't that Froch would find them very motivating

Another 12 months, why not? Most likely Froch-Groves happens. Could be Froch's final fight. Big money fight that is down the line. Groves is 'making alot of noise' at the minute, and you just know Froch wants to shut his ginger mouth.

We generally see eye to eye with fighters, so I was a bit spooked when you rated Chunky :34:

I think I just liked what he was trying to do. He doesn't fight like your average modern boxbot or leap amateur and it was refreshing.....the thing is he just ain't very good at what he's trying to do.

Froch vs Ward has an added dimension if it is in England. Unfortunately, the average mook in the USA will still put up £50 for a fight on cable, so it becomes "More lucrative, the money is here yo" etc :shit:

How many people care about this nearly fictional "added dimension"?

USA has way more 'average mooks' therefore going to be usually more lucrative.

I'm not sure this is even a PPv fight in the US, either way. Meanwhile the differential in gate is so big it might actually make a difference for once - there were apparently 2k there for the last one in the US. 40k is not unrealistic in the UK.

This is a potential PPv event here too if it's promoted right - it could probably do 800k odd buys here (based on previous Hatton, Calzaghe, Haye numbers) which taking the price differential into account would be worth about 250-300k buys stateside. It seems to make more sense to have it in the UK and have the fight start late for showtime, imo!

Froch vs Ward 2 ain't doing no 800k buys if it happens next. No way, no how.

'Here'. Haye-Valuev did north of that here, Hatton-Floyd & Haye-Wlad did over a million if i remember right. Maybe Feebes or Irish can set me right there. Froch is on a bit of a wave here so there's the potential for this to be a big event.

As a proviso to that - PPv prices are about a third what they are in the states so 800k buys would only be equivalent to 250k odd US sales in terms of revenue

Froch-Ward II isn't going to be on PPV in the states. I agree with Irish that, if the rematch happens, it has to be in England for it to be interesting. On top of that, I think they would be more $$ if the fight is made in the UK

    THIS...

The Euro Faction Persists w/this 'Added Dimension', but a Fight is a FIGHT...Ward "Should" This or that:shit:...Ward DOESN'T Owe Carl Froch OR European Boxing Fans a Thing...& Aside from in the Minds of those Particular Fans, there ISN'T Much Interest in Ward-Froch Overseas...
