Worst thing is that unless Malignaggi pulls the upset....or...Broner put on a virtuoso performance...the main event isn't going to be much better than the two previous fights on the card.

I think it's fair to say Banks did have at least a 100 Yen on Mitchell by decision.

Fight is fixed man. Banks goes down on nothing in the 2nd, could have blown his man out in the 3rd, but backs off and backs off and continues to back off anytime he even remotely has his man in trouble.

Yeah, it was like Banks hurt him by accident early... then decided it would be best to not even pretend to throw a right hand.

 

That's as suspicious looking a fight as I've seen where it didn't involve a KO

 

A fix wouldn't shock me, but Banks is a loser so I'm not too shocked by this kind of performance from him.

Of course it was fixed.....Mitchell was out on his feet....then in the immediate next round Banks completely backs away and do NOTHING.....

I think this fight is a decision to be honest. I haven't seen too much of Broner on the outside, he seems to like to hang around at intermediate range. I think Malinaggi will box decently enough, Broner isn't a bull.

 

He, Banks, also made sure he went down for a 10-8 round off a punch that would not have otherwise dropped him. Watch how Banks leans in, offers his head, then takes the shot on the back of his dome, and makes as little protestation to the ref as possible. 10-8 round from a position where Mitchell was probably losing the round in any case. Then he roughs him up in the third but does it at the end of the round, then does fuck all, causing his corner to want to know if his hands were broken, cos they most likely were not in on it.

 

In that clip with Paulie I almost expected James Gandolfini to rise from the dead and make a cameo in the barbershop.
