Calzaghe is clearly above everybody on that list. The likes of Eubank and Benn have already said it themselves.

I don't think I've ever had one of my posts quoted this often, i wish I'd said something interesting.

Calzaghe's got nothing for Jones. How on earth do you imagine him winning?

I think Gaybox (like this nickname you created) has more power then Peter...but it really comes down too who can take each others punch better and who will land first which I think Peter can do more with his reach

It's a fight that I would like to see

Roy Jones had almost no punishment resistance at all, could not pull the trigger even in spots where a counter would have been obvious... his legs were rubbery... i.e. he was shot

He was not competetive in the third Tarver fight... he survived, that's it. His opposition was fucking TERRIBLE after that fight and he looked like shit in each win. He was absolutely shot. Compare Jones in those fights to Jones against anybody in 1998 and the difference is shocking

Compare Calzaghe against Jones to Calzaghe against Chris Eubank and it looks like the same guy only mildly slower and stronger-looking

The actual Calzaghe/Jones fight says about as much about how a fight would look between them at their respective bests as Berbick/Ali says about a prime vs. prime matchup between those two

Thompson was of course English, and England is in Europe, or Somalia, but its definitely not in Asia, which Kazakhstan is.

The fact Calzaghe couldn't stop that completely shot version of Roy is a black mark on Joe's legacy.

with less shambolic refereeing, Calzaghe would have about 12 KOs on his ledger

love some of the logic being used here

    Here is some more

Now Hopkins is a total fraud because he lost to Calzaghe who almost got knocked out by Jones who at that point was a completely shot fighter...shot like Sugar Rays comeback vs Hector Macho Camacho

    A little more logic

Eubank was shot vs Calzaghe as well and his fights with Carl Thompson were pathetic to watch

    And

Collins pulled out of his challenge to fight Joe Calzaghe because he was afraid to kill him in the ring..his only challenge was Roy Jones

Benn was invited but could not attend. That and the fact that RJJ ducked him in the pros after feeling his power in the amatures.

Eubanks is an interesting guy...Collins is coming off as an world class arse. Eubanks basically caught Collins in a lie. Collins said he was pulled out of training (for a fight with Calzaghe) by a WBO doctor.

Calzaghe quietly says, "I never knew that."

Also the amount of respect Eubanks and Jones show each other. I didn't know Jones said Eubanks is the only guy he thinks would have beaten him.

As a side note...I've said this numerous times but I spoke with Freddy Roach about Collins and Jones and Roach said he didn't believe Collins could have beaten Jones but he would have liked to have seen the fight.
