Apparently this thing has finally been signed. I know it's kind of a "yawn", but I won't believe this fight happens until Alex gets intro'd by Buffer. Wlad might actually be up for this one and kick some spirited ass if indeed it does come off.

I think that's beyond HBO's technological abilities but you can always change the year on your computer or TV to 2007.

Indeed. Everybody's favorite Mexican killer will be the losing trainer saying dorky shit after the fight concludes.

Well Povetkin can rest assured he won't have a guy half screaming at him/half making weird-ass analogies in order to motivate him

LOL. Michael Moorer should've picked Atlas up by the throat in that fight like Drago did with the dude in Rocky IV.

    Yeah, he sucks

He wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't always acting like a tough guy and wasn't clearly a dishonest self-promoter... His technical insight is actually good, he'll make good points about the Xs and Os in a fight and though the ridiculous analogies he uses are infuriating to hardcore fans like us, they would probably be effective if he was explaining to a casual observer... his ego, his fake menace, his belief that any scorecard a point apart from his must be an incredible injustice, that's the shit that makes him repelling

One thing I always gave Mike Tyson credit for was calling Atlas on his BS. Mike was 100% on the money when he said Teddy was a bullshitter, fake Mafia wannabe.

Looks like Freddie Roach is stepping in as trainer for Povetkin. Look out Wlad.

Povetkin has a great chance here. He seems happy to apply lots of pressure, and take punishment to land shots. Wlad for all his refinement and economy remains a guy you can get to. I think Povetkin will give it a real go and would not be too surprised if he pulled off the upset. Wlad has to be favourite though.

He'd have made a perfectly serviceable boxing trainer if it weren't for his pretensions, his psychosis and his narcissism

He knows the game fine, but he's an enormously unpleasant phony on every other level

Povetkin's chances, like everyone else's, are better against Vitali now. To wait, and wait, and wait, and then not target the right Klitschko is a big fucking mistake.

I like Povetkin, but not his chances against Wlad. I'd make Vitali a favorite over him, as well, but less so.

Povetkin still seems to be quick on his feet and on the draw based on the Rahman win. Quite interested to see this

I hope Povetkins wins, what few really good ones he has, are enough to make sure that any win over him is regarded in a better light as a win over Jeff Lacy. :crafty:
