The Bungu fight is exactly like you say - a match up against a guy with the absolutely perfect style for him.

Hand position and angling. Generally peak a boo-ish hand positioning (at least in range) and he'd square up on a guy to get close

vs hand position and angling. Always the stupid snake charmer waist high hands and pretty much always stays really side on. He switch hits in this clip but generally there was allot less of it as he went on

Erik would have been erecting eccentric enclaves from eggcrates in Encino, engaged in enclosed ennui by Tuesday after blowing it against Hamed

All of them lost to fighters not as good as Hamed, although it takes a while to get to Raheem on Morales' record.

there is truth in this "HOWEVER", if Morales boxed wisely early and often enough he would have beaten the fight out of Hamed. hamed would have only looked to survive.

Morales should have lost to Espada Jr. in their first fight though.

Morales won close but clear, no way Guty won that fight. People gave Guty and Chi more credit than they deserved, for putting forth a better than expected effort. Morales won 7 rounds against Espadas, and at least that many against Chi.

As with many Erik fights, he just kind of made it tougher than he had to, and got roughed up a bit.

Despite his GLARING Technical Flaws, Hamed was a PROPER World Class Featherweight...As Such, he'd have COMFORTABLY Fit Into the Barrera-Morales-Marquez-Pacquiao Mix...He'd have Lost Some & Won Some, but it's NOT as if he'd have Gotten Run Out of the Ring by Any of those Cats...

    HATER Revisionist Bullshit, Brother Mex...

Hamed Lost CLEARLY, but the Whole "Asskicking" he Received from Barrera is GROSSLY EXAGGERATED...The Fight was Actually EVEN after 6 Rounds, if REED's Not Mistaken....This WASN'T Roy-Richard Hall or Floyd-Corrales, Although You like to THINK it was...

Even the Scorecards DON'T Suggest Prince Getting "Ran Out of the Ring"...115-112 (twice), 116-111...Not Exactly "Domination", Bro...

I agree, but I agree more if we mean the Hamed that was undefeated. Hamed's cockiness could have been fake, but the way he reacted after losing to Barrera suggests that he might not have been able to be as good after that loss as he was before it.

I think, as always, the digits changing on the fighter's record would have made fuck-all difference in and of itself. Brutal fights can take something out fighters, changing numbers don't.

That's what DISAPPOINTED REED about Prince...

In & Of Itself, the Loss to Barrera WASN'T Physically Taxing...Prince was Certainly Marked Up WORSE in Other Fights...Took More HURTFUL Punishment in Other Fights...Though he CLEARLY Lost, Guys have Rebounded from MORE DEFINITIVE Losses than That...

Nonetheless, Prince was DONE after the Barrera Loss, for All Intents & Purposes...

In Some Cases, You Can Understand WHY a Fighter is Different, After Losing...Curry was BULLIED by Honeyghan & was Never the Same Again...Roy was KO'ed by Tarver...Nunn Done Likewise by Toney...Given those Instances, you GET Why Curry, Roy & Nunn were NEVER Quite the Same Again...Not Soooo Much w/Hamed...

It's Disappointing to REED, that Prince was TOAST After the Barrera Loss...

I don't think MAB mentally ruined him or anything, if that's what you mean.

He simply didn't give a shit about boxing anymore, and probably realized that it would take dedication in training to beat a top fighter like MAB, Morales. A motivated he no longer had.

He had made his money, and he wanted nothing more.

He was done before Barrera, during it and after. If we wanna pinpoint the moment it was over for him it was the second he started listening to that clown Oscar Suarez.

All the what-if's about Prince are sad really. I think he would've gotten blown out of the water by the elite when he left, but he would've tested some chins. Back then, Manny came at you face first, begging to eat one to give one. The younger and reckless Manny in there with a BIG puncher would be wildly entertaining at the least.

I think Morales' bravado would've been fun in a Hamed loss too. It was a very strong era, four losses on his ledger wouldn't be embarrassing at all if he hung around.

Yep. Obviously he's far superior to Hamed but I've always wondered if Floyd would be the same if he lost. He's got the technical skills to always be a force but he's invested so much into that fucking "0" it would be interesting at least.
