I am a little skeptical that the movie will work. It might be a little too much. Looks like they took "Rosewood", set it back 70 years and ratcheted up the racism about 300%. It will all depend on the acting and whether or not the dialogue in the script seems forced or natural.

If it does work, I have a feeling that Fassbender will be stealing the movie as the repugnant slave-master, in much the same way that Ralph Fiennes stole "Schindler's List".

    Sure he Can....

Acting Ability ISN'T a PHYSICAL Gift...It's Not like a Sports Talent, where AGE Eventually HINDERS or DIMINISHES your Ability...Since Larenze Tate HAS Carried a Movie, he Still CAN Carry a Movie...

Well no it isn't a physical gift but it is a learned skill and if not used for a while a person may not lose it completely but they certainly wouldn't be as sharp. In Lorenz Tate's case he has still been acting in tv shows and stuff even though he hasn't done any films lately.

That was 20 years ago dude. He's lost it. Ice Cube tore it up in "Boyz In The Hood" a long time ago, but I don't want to see him in anything that doesn't involve a barbershop, nowadays.

Looked at the cast of "Menace To Society", and Glenn Plummer was a dude I expected much more out of.

This is true but the fact is neither you nor Nobleart know whether Tate still has it. Like I said he's been doing some minor tv roles here and there. I think his last significant role was in Ray and he was pretty good in that.

One guy who really surprised me in Ray was Bokime Woodbine. I never seen him act that well before.

TV and movies are two separate things. You have to act differently. That being said, i dont want to see him. He doesnt impress me. And honestly, it doesnt seem Hollywood wants to see him either.

Well I guess we all have our opinions. Personally I always liked him and wish he would have gotten more opportunities.

He HAS Maintained It...It's NOT as if Tate Said "Fuck Hollywood" & STOPPED Working Altogether...

    agREED...

Tate's Still UNDER 40 & Looks even YOUNGER than his Actual Age...He Can Still Play Some MEATY Roles, if Given the Opportunity...

We're Talking about him in PAST Tense, as if he's a 57 Year Old Man or Something...

    Yep...

Tate's Screen Time was BRIEF, but he Did well in "Ray"...Woodbine wasn't Bad in "Ray"...He was VERY Good (For Him) in "Dead Presidents", in REED's Opinion...
