I've reconsidered this fight, and have decided that I'm selling Garcia short. I think he'll give Matthyse a helluva fight. He's more durable, and has more pop than Peterson. Prediction hasn't changed though, I still think Matty Ice will knock him senseless, just in the later rounds.

The most likely scenario is a Mathysse win via stoppage on cuts. I can't imagine Garcia knocked out cold. But who knows? Garcia might outbox Lucas for a 12 round UD. It can happen too.

 

Garcia was rocked several times by Judah... it is very possible he will get knocked dead

 

Why not? He hasn't shown an IRON chin..and hasn't really fought anyone with dynamite in his punches....and we have already seen him rocked/stun a few times...so it can happen.


Very unlikely....swift...isn't so swift....and better boxers than him have had a hard time keeping Matthysse off them for 10-12 rounds...

Agreed 100% with Neil. If Garcia can't hurt Matty Ice, and keep him off, then he has no shot in Holy Hell. At the end of the day, I just think Lucas is plain too strong and too powerful for anybody as stationary and hittable as Garcia. And what's worse for Garcia is, Matthysse doesn't fade late.

 

I think Danny can hurt Mathyssee. The question I have is if he can hit him hard enough to make him think twice about coming in.

Danny is the bigger man here also. And I wouldn't be surprised if he's able to push Matthysse back some in this fight and if that happens, how effective is Mathyssee???
