Chavez fought LaPorte before 1988 JMM is most famous for losing twice, drawing once and winning once versus Pacquaio... Other than that, his most notable win is a past-it Barrera that Pac had already demolished... Other than that, you've got difficult fights with guys like Diaz and Katsidis that Chavez would have walked right through... Then you have wins over guys like Medina and Gainer... that's about it... How many rounds did Whitaker lose between 1988 and say, 1994? Maybe 10-15 tops... He was one of the most dominant champs ever... Marquez would never beat either guy, he wouldn't come close Chavez would push him around and Whitaker would make him look foolish He's got Pacquiao's number more than anything else... it is against him that he's had all of his best moments
Chavez would leave Marquez making miniature marshmallow muffins out of a market in Mexicali called "Juan's Juanderful Confectiones"
marquez lost 1 fight his entire career that ive seen. to mayweather jr, because of size disadvantage. same weight, he KOs the guy. he holds 3 wins over pacquiao and 1 draw.
He's 1-2-1 vs. Pac in my eyes Mayweather vs. JMM at 130 results in JMM getting fucked up by a dude much too fast and good defensively for him After the fight Marquez is mixing mortar in Memphis, mulling over what went wrong
at the same age of 37/38 while marquez was defeating a guy with a better resumé than whitaker for the third time, knocking him senseless in the process, Perico Pernell was quitting like a two bit ho against some Los Mochis mule herder called "Bojorquez".
That's a meaningless argument When Archie Moore was winning the undisputed Light Heavyweigth Title at age 42, 99% of pro fighters ever were retired... Archie Moore better than everyone ever? Flip it... While Marquez was failing to impress against the Freddie Norwoods of the world at the age of 26, Pernell Whitaker was the undisputed Lightweight champion of the world
First Pacquiao became overrated and now Marquez too. Marquez other than the Pacquiao KO hasn't done anything of worth above 135. Nothing to suggest he'd beat some of the better fighters at 140 let alone 147. Even at 135, there's a lot of lightweights I would take to beat him. Prime for prime, I think he beats Bradley, but at this point I think Timmy's youth, and physical strength will force a pace Marquez is not comfortable with and he'll grind him down for a decision victory.
Bradley must be afraid of him to insist on drug testing! It's not his job to insist on drug testing!! Who does he think he is to insist on drug testing, that's the state commission's job!! This is an outrage!! He's afraid!!!
I enjoy watching these guys squirm. I enjoyed it with Pacquiao, I'm enjoying it again. JMM's a fraud.
But isn't Bradley yoked on creatine? I mean he'd easily mop the floor with juiced Marquez in a weight lifting contest ffs so he shouldn't have brought up the drug testing
Just like Pac....I don't see any more or less reason to suspect Marquez of roiding than anyone else. Putting four friggin pounds of muscle on isn't suspicious stuff.
It's more than 4 lbs of muscle because his body fat % dropped a lot while putting on the weight. In his late 30's. You want to write that off as piss-drinking, Hut, go for it. But there are objective reasons to suspect JMM much more than others and those reasons justify the suspicions. Dog Jones, I don't believe creatine is illegal, is it? Bradley looks like a juicer to me, but he has always looked like a juicer so it's different than what JMM did.
Nah man, he weighed the same in the ring both times as I remember. 143 at the weigh in 147/8 in the ring. He just gained some muscle/strength and lost some fat. A 65 year old man can do that without roids with some decent training and diet, never mind a 37 year old world class athelete with months and months to train. I'm not saying he didn't roid - I'm just saying the 'evidence' is a farce.
