Joe Gatti weighed 172 when he fought Norris and Terry dusted him. Not saying Canelo is a bum like Gatti, my point is it's not like Norris fought in the 50's. He was fighting in the 24-hr weigh in era. The weight wouldn't matter. In fact, Canelo's chances of beating Norris IMPROVE if he came into the ring at 160-164, because he'd be quicker. I've seen nothing in any Canelo fight to suggest he could beat Norris, assuming Terry was on point. He's far too slow on his feet, and too methodical. Terry's speed and combinations would overwhelm him.
I don't care if canasshole weighed in a 490 lbs...terry would have him sucking sausages in Sardinia by the following Saturday
Norris beats his ass and it would be fun to watch. He'd light him up from the get go. Canelo has a puncher's chance but once he tastes a few shots, I don't believe he'd be that brave, not does he have the gas tank to stay with Norris. Norris KO 5
From what we've seen so far of both fighters, Norris is the safe bet. We don't really have any idea what Canelo's chin is like though, the only guys he's fought who could crack were shot or bums (eg Mosley, Kermit the Leapfrog). IF he can take Terrible Terry's heat, and Norris gets careless at any point, I think one of Canelo's counters would lay him out. If Norris fights the right fight, I don't think Canelo has anything for him. I don't think the Floyd fight will be a good gauge of how Canelo would've done against Norris btw, Floyd is more cautious & less offensively minded than Norris was.
Norris kicks his ass unless Canelo shows a granite chin against a good 154 pound puncher.....if Canelo can handle that which is highly doubtful then he could catch the chinny Norris late in the fight when he is fading
