You joking right? The scene did everything to expose his lack of athleticism.

Because the director, Mark Steven Johnson, was more focused on his next paycheck than in making a good movie. This 'ateur' has made a phenomenal record of FIVE movies in his entire career and all have been awful. The directorial work in Daredevil should be taught at film school as an example of lazy craftsmanship. Many scenes looked like rehearsals and one shot jobs with mediocre editing. The costume (in leather no less) was awful. The only rewarding element was Jennifer Garner as Elektra who even though did not resembled the character at all, did a decent job to make the film at least watchable. Affleck was okay with the little material he had.

I see what your saying, but if i were to go with that logic, that would mean the guy who was in the costume (affleck's stunt double) would be just as stiff, but he wasnt. He was actually very athletic.

Big Difference. Michael Keaton was not an established dramatic actor. Hell he wasnt even an established movie star. He had 9 movies prior to batman. So nobody really knew much about him, and what they did know was that he was a comedian.

Ben Affleck is a highly established actor that has been in many movies. He has also played a Super Hero before. We know exactly what Ben is and how he will portray this role.

Affleck's histrionic range is irrelevant when he will be for the most part under a mask and cape playing a secondary role in a Superman film. They can hire Chris Rock as Batman and the movie will still be a hit.

You dont get it. Fan are not upset because Affleck will be playing a few minutes in a superman movie. Fans are upset because Affleck is now DC's New Batman. That means new franchises & Justice league movies, where he will be more than just behind the mask.

Nah. Richard Armitage would have been my choice with Max Martini a close second.

And that is if Batman was to be older than Superman. If Batman was starting out like Superman and young, i would have gone Gosling.

Keaton was replaced by Kilmer who was replaced by Clooney who then was replaced by Bale who will be replaced by Affleck. If something Warner Bros has a track record is replacing the actors who play Batman. The franchise has survived.

Bale was the first to refuse the role. The other guys were replaced

The franchise of Batman Burton's batman did not survive. It died with Clooney. They waited almost a decade to start a new franchise from the ground up.

Keaton refused the role of the third batman too. He was offered 15 mil and turned it down.

Shame about Keaton. Kilmer not so much.

Yeah. But in reality, The Burton films were shot in a way to hide Keaton's lack of physic. Put him next to someone like Cavil, and it would look ridiculous.

I didn't know Keaton was offered another movie, while he was good in the role. I have to agree his physic just didn't work.

Yeah he was fortunate enough to play against two short villains in Jack and Devito.

Richard Armitage man. He would be nice. Not too known and has the physic and acting chops to pull it off.

It didn't died. It took a respite. Joel Schumaker's Batman films were in clear contrast with the ones Burton did with Keaton. And the problem with BATMAN & ROBIN wasn't Clooney, it was that the damn film was dumb as hell. More worthy of Adam West than what Burton & Keaton started inspired by Frank Miller. The film still made #238 million worldwide on a budget of $125 million (or Pacific Rim-like numbers in comparison), but still it was way below the $411 million the first one did. So the studio decided to take a break from superhero movies until the time was ripe to revamp the franchise going back to the darker tone of the original film and the comicbooks. It was an eight years respite of careful planning. Had the franchise died, they will not had even thought of revamping it in the first place.

Wrong, it died. They took batman in a whole new direction. They waited years for the stench of the original series was gone. The story was different and even the origin was different. If it was the same, Joker would have still killed batman's parents.
