I like Tyson, but I alway's felt a promoter shouldn't upstaged his fighters. It's their moment and I don't like how Tyson made the post fight conference about him. Speaking of dying, their's an article on Sports Illustrated (???) saying Tommy Morrison is very close to death and is probably living his last day's
I do feel sorry for Mike. Floyd Patterson said, decades ago, that Mike needed to keep fighting or wind up in the gutter. The problem is that Mike, even if he had a great successful career with no setbacks, he was going to retire in his 30's in any case. Mikes culture, since childhood, was a million miles an hour of abuse and self-abuse. He always abused himself, or allowed himself to be abused. Then there were other things like his daughter dying. It all adds up.
Not to be morbid, but could you imagine the legend Mike Tyson would be if he had died in a plane crash right after horse whipping Spinks?
Tyson's just screwed up mentally. He has too many demons. I don't think professional help can help him. He seems ok when being interviewed on tv/radio and seems energetic and fairly happy, but you just know he's not quite right deep down. Is he the type of person to take his own life? I think so.
True, but, well, it is Mike Tyson. Saw the SI article, sad shit. Morrison was scummy, but you still have to feel for the guy. Very sad. :: I can't imagine the effect Tyson's daughter dying had on him, he's reportedly very attached to his kids. She was only 4 years old.. that's the type of shit you can never recover from.
What was a 4 year old doing on a treadmill anyway? If that poor kid was being raised by David Tua this tragedy would have never happened.
it's not a joke about a 4 year old being strangled on a treadmill, it's a joke about david tua being fat
