Yeah man. He keeps himself in good shape normally. but stallone got him on a kick ass routine. This is a recent deniro movie before stallone started working with him. And you see what stallone did for Gibson
I guess they're going for a "Great White Hype" type of comedy. I'd be shocked if they come anywhere close to the greatness of that movie. Also has vibes of the Marciano vs. Ali fantasy computer matchup from '69 or so. Still waiting for George Foreman to get in the ring with Larry Holmes. Larry is to. Larry wants it baaaaaaad!
This movie will be semi funny at first and then take itself WAAAAAAY too serious and ruin everything.
Naahhh.... I expect this movie to be fun. Sylvester Stallone is very busy lately. He made the prison movie with Arnie, he is working on unexpendables 3 and now this movie.
Hold on though I heard some fucked up names. Are they actually going to potray the Rocky versus Raging bull fight? Or will it be some made up characters?
Ok so i finally saw this. This is strange movie to review. It didnt start off too good. The old CGI of Stallone and Deniro was done well. But it wasn't quite entertaining. The best part of the movie to me was the middle. When the forced comedy ended and it started dealing with real life issues like getting old and neglected family, etc. The end wasn't bad, but could have been better. This movie actually had some potential, had it not been a comedy. Deniro was not that funny in it, which sucks, because is good at comedy. This movie is worth the watch if you are a fan of boxing and deniro and Stallone. It's not a terrible movie and can be fun at times. Im just disappointing, because it actually had the potential to be much more. People complained that it took itself to serious at times, but IMO, those were the best times. 6/10.
I hated it. Trying too hard to cash in on the Rocky & Raging Bull references. The jokes fell flat on the floor and the characters were not interesting enough. 3/10
most of the jokes did fall flat. Some were good tho. But like i said, i liked when it wasnt trying to be funny.
