There's some bad dudes in Thailand, but they are not real physically strong guys as a rule.

They are sleek and fast, their greatest fighter being the fantastic featherweight champion Pone Kingpetch, who should have been inducted into the IBHOF years back, but that organization has zero credibility.

As far as Muy Thai goes, the best I've seen is Tony Jaa who is an amazing fighter and athlete.

Pone Kingpetch was a fine fighter, but I don't think he's a clear-cut choice for #1 Thai at all... There are definitely other candidates you could argue

I spoke with Max Kellerman at length about Kingpetch, and we both agree he is one of the top ten flyweights ever.

I guess you can make a case for a couple being equal with him, but those guys, I'm assuming you are referring to the Galaxy brothers, lacked the technique and overall boxing ability that Pone possessed.

Kingpetch was one of the best fighters of his time in all of boxing, and one of the top flyweights ever in terms of technique.

His one weakness was that he didn't have a really great chin, but boy could he dish it out.

 

Those galaxy guys seemed a bit wild to me
