I don't disagree the matchup is smart, business wise I just mean it's not defensible from a sporting standpoint
This. People seem to forget that Khan was hammering the shit out of Garcia until he got careless. The announcers were talking about the fight being stopped. Floyd will do the same, but he won't get careless. The only reason to want Floyd/Garcia is because Angel Garcia is a loudmouthed prick.
When he trained at the Peacock gym in East London during the Mayweather-Marquez promotional tour it brought traffic to a standstill. The place was rammed. That was on a weekday as well, which is pretty crazy, though it also proves East London is full of work-shy freeloaders.
Outside of a philosophy library, or Southwark/The City/Canary Wharf, I cannot think of a part of London which might feature more KANTS than East London.
I'd rather see Floyd vs Garcia to be honest. Garcia proved he can take a shot and won't get discouraged. Khan makes for good scraps for the wrong reasons. You watch to see when and how often he goes down. I don't 100% agree that Khan was picking Danny apart. I think it took Danny a round or two to catch on to Khan's timing. Once he caught on he could hit Khan when he wanted. If anything, this makes Danny a better fighter in my eyes. he was able to make the correct adjustment which is what Floyd does as well. Because of this, I'd think Danny would do better in the second half of the fight than the first. Khan isn't skilled, savvy or smart enough to make any adjustments. Khan's only way to survive or possibly win the rounds would be to literally run away from Floyd.
