Have to say, regardless of the opponent, I love young Crawford's technique... He looks old school... Relaxed, cool, knows why he's doing something
Guru is usually fantastic for me (their backup site is excellent, too) but just kept freezing The one Irish gave me is working well
I could appreciate Crawford when he fights top opponents who makes him work, but it's obvious he's the kind of guy who will take as few risk as possible. And when he's fighting these kind of opponents, it makes for a very boring fight.
If Gainer had a chin he would probably still be around. He had the power and speed. Also he lacked brains. Also the jab is a good punch to try.
I agree, he's decent but I don't see nothing special with him, and Gainer had a ko punch something Crawford sorely lacked. Could you imagine if HBO had showcase Gainer in these kind of fights ???
Who the Hell is there at lightweight to test Crawford anyway? Mediocre Burns can't do it. He might as well move up to 140 where the money, and competition is.
I'm not saying how good he is, I'm not even speculating if he is or isn't or how far he will go I'm saying it is fucking refreshing to see a guy under the age of 30 and over 126 pounds who doesn't jump back as if from a grenade every time somebody tosses a punch his way, who doesn't try to do a Roy Jones impersonation or try and score amateur, mindless box-bot style like Amir Khan or waste energy with unnecessary movement and leaping like Sergio Martinez... May there be another 100 fucking guys to come along who will do the same and run guys like that to the fringes Amen
Yeah he impresses me more than Broner. He's got the ring smarts to go along with his skills and talent.
Exactly... He moves when there is a purpose to moving... He throws with conviction when there is a reason to do so... He looks like a professional prizefighter I have no idea how good he'll prove to be in the long run but it is nice to see a young guy fight like that
