Rodriguez is out of his class

He was badly hurt, but yeah a little premature.

Hopefully Miggy does us all a favor and rids us of Canelo.

Premature but I'm fine with it. Rodriguez was just outclassed.

Cotto looked very sharp, would be fun to see him rematch Trout (but it won't happen) or, even better, fight Alvarez or Martinez.

what a sacrificial lamb that was served up tonight...I guess if anyone deserves one than it should be Cotto...I would not wait too long in between his next match though...should fight again before Christmas IMO

anyone else think the next logical fight should be Bronner vs Cotto?

 He looked faster than I have ever seen him before. Fast and explosive. And he looked great too.

Broner just moved up 2 divisions to fight Paulie, I think it's a little premature to expect him to move up again so soon.

    Cotto is not Floyd.

a bit premature don't you think. He hasn't beaten anyone yet. The guy he was in against tonight was a punching bag.

I think even an old Cotto whoops Canelo, honestly.

Cotto is as good as he ever was imo, only that Trout was a bad style matchup for him

I didnt expect Cotto to look this sharp. Great to see he brought back the left hook to the body. It will be interesting to see Cotto vs Canelo.

I'm not ready to say for CERTAIN that Cotto beats Canelo. Bear in mind, that Canelo is a lot better than Delvin. But how Cotto looked tonight, it certainly makes the matchup more intriguing.

If Cotto has enough left and tonight wasn't a red herring against a scrub, then he'll give the overhyped Ginger a beating.

I'd love to see him squash "Bronner" too.

Seems Team Cotto have set their sites on Maravilla , looking to become 4 weight class champions.

    Cotto vs Martinez makes sense.

I'd like to see it. Based on Martinez's recent form, Cotto has a chance.

I liked how Crawford looked. Levels above Klimov. Klimov was unable to close the gap, but he didn't go for it either. Just struggled all-round against a superior boxer. Crawford boxed sensibly and was in control throughout. Boxing as a southpaw from round 2 to the end as well. He could have stepped it up a level/gone through the gears (which he did at times and it looked like he might have stopped Klimov late in the 7th), but he got the job done and was impressive, IMO. I actually think if Crawford took more risks it would have suited Klimov. There were a few times actually when Crawford got caught when taking risks, but overall Klimov was no match for him at all..But again, Crawford was sensible to stick to his boxing, IMO. When he threw his left hand to the body, that was constantly troubling Klimov - he landed that shot alot. Against an opponent who is say more aggressive and willing to let his hands go, that's when I think we'll see Crawford step it up/show us that bit more about him. I really enjoy watching him fight

Now, looking back at that fight, it wasn't the statement Crawford was aiming for I don't think. He had Klimov on the brink, but then he really didn't go for the kill - sort of took his foot off the gas late on. Has Crawford learnt anything from that win? Probably not.
