There just seems to be something a little evil in Roach for that fight like he knew what would happen.
2 REeD - Bradley. Didn't think that had to be said. Sorry don't remember posting about this fight so it may have been discussed already.
If I'm correct, not many people gave Provodnikov a chance pre-fight. I certainly thought Bradley would beat him handily. He was stepping up in weight was he not? and in class.
That's a little evil. I guess not much different than the Klit Bro's having big bro fight whoever beat little bro.
Nobody thought Provo had a chance. We all thought he was too slow/limited. Turns out that we overrated Timmy's skills and defense. That, and we underestimated Provo.
Brother REED and I both expected Provo to have his moments and make it a tough fight... You can check the original thread You're right though that neither of us expected numerous near-stoppage moments
Props to you and REED then. Provo giving Bradley Hell was a combination of 3 things: 1. Bradley being a dumbass and going to war with Provo. 2. Bradley having overrated defense, and boxing ability. 3. Provo having underrated power and strength. I still believe that Provo blew the fight. He head hunted. Had he punished Bradley's body, I think he woulda finished the job.
I'm inclined to agree, man The few times he went to the body, he clearly hurt Bradley there... He was just KO crazy and not thinking about what he was doing
No Prob... REED's Getting UP There in Age, So Things have to Be EXPLAINED to Him, Sometimes... REED::
agREED... NOBODY, Including Roach, EXPECTED Bradley to Go Life & Death w/Provodnikov...You & REED Knew the Tough Russian Would WIN Rounds & Walk Away w/a Somewhat ENHANCED Reputation,Though... Based on THE WAY Provodnikov Disposed of Emmanuel Augustus, it was OBVIOUS Dude Could PUNCH... REED:hammert:
No offense but this is simply ridiculous all around. Roach got nothing in making the fight up, especially when his fighter is the lesser name of the two. Maybe he got a little pull with Bob Arum considering he's the trainer of his cash cow but it's a hell of a stretch to assume he had enough leverage to make Arum impose Provodnikov to Bradley.
