Wlad for a time was the most aesthetically pleasing offensive heavyweight boxer on the planet. He has taken it waaaaay too far. It's ridiculous how "offensive" he is to watch now. Irish, I like Vitali a lot. I liked Wlad once upon a time. Unfortunately he's getting more Ruizsko by the fight.

Two fights from now he's just going to be picking guys up and throwing them out of the ring, if the ref lets him get away with it.

 

They are, of course, and this was always the point, as early as 1997 I could see it....totally different fighters, totally different people.

The Povetkin fight is unique. He never leaned on like that before. I don't like it any more than you do, and you know this...and yet he still punched fuck out of his opponent.

And this is where, perversely, we agree but disagree. After the first Brewster fight, and the weighing of the gloves stuff with Sam Peter first time out, and the first Byrd fight {remember the "Poison on the gloves"} I quietly decided that anything he could get away with, he should.

To see the loonies screaming blue murder is fucking delicious. THe reality of the matter is that this is all about control and being the boss and the Klitschkos have wrested that away from them, for now at least.
