Round 12:Crowd's chantng for Marquez, who can not seem to sustain his attack. Right and a left by Marquez. Bradley drops his hands. Right to the body by Marquez. Jab, jab by Bradley. Left hook for Marquez. Left hook by Bradley. Hard right for Marquez. Left to the body by Marquez.
Bradley controlled the fight for the most part but he didn't land so many good shots where you automatically think "yes, he won that round no doubt"... That's why I ended up with a draw, i think in my mind
What freaking fight you guys were watching? Bradley dominated Marquez EASILY. I gave Marquez only three rounds (#3, #8 & 12...even though Tim almost put him in the canvas in that last one). The judge that gave the bout to Marquez needs to see the eye doctor.
Bradley was the Ring General, for sure and he was defensively excellent The most important scoring criteria is "clean, effective punching" and there was not a lot of that from either man in this fight... There were rounds where Bradley moved well, slipped punches well, had JMM off balance but landed next to nothing and Marquez would land 3 or 4 good shots in the round, which was enough to sway me I have no problem with Bradley winning, I had it a draw
Bradley clearly won IMO. It was competitive. But Bradley clearly deserved it. Tonight he was just the better fighter. He outworked Marquez and he outboxed him from the outside for the most part.
Bradley won fair and square. Best case scenario for marquez is a draw. There's no way he won 7 rounds
They were just protecting Pac they can make Mayweather vs Bradley. Who promoted Marquez against Mayweather?
Bradley probably deserved the nod but it was still disgusting to hear Lampley and company spinning the whole time to make it seem like Bradley was dominating. Also, they need to be done with Lederman. His score card was absurd. He's obviously fooled by hand speed (see Lederman's Chavez/Taylor score card). Hand speed in and of itself should have no bearing on a score card. For Lederman apparently, it's everything.
I scored the fight a draw, they each got a round after 2, rounds 3 and 4 nothing happened so each deserved a round although either could have earned both rounds, I believe I had the fight even after 10? either way I think Marquez won the 12th and the fight until he nearly went down at the closing seconds, that one punch edged the 12th for Bradley. Scoring the fight for either fighter comes down to personal preference on style, I prefer to score for fighters that are more aggressive vs that cocky boxer style as how Bradley conducted himself, everything else being equal, in those close rounds where Bradley kept his distance but was avoiding engaging Marquez I would give those rounds to Marquez, Lets face it if you do everything to avoid making contact you wont have a fight, it wasnt a clear win for Bradley for my scoring could have gone either way,.
That fight wont sell. Bradley has no chance in outboxing Mayweather and dosent have the power to threat him.
