I think Lomachenko is the goods. I would favor him over Salido but it'll be a test to see how he handles himself against a rugged guy like Salido.
Salido is shot....but he still has enough to stop Lomachenko inside of 4 rounds...too much experience...body punching.
How is he shot? Stop doing that shit, after boxers lose a fight to a guy they are taylor-made for. He wasn't shot after Gamboa either.
Seriously... Given the URGENCY Lomachenko's Braintrust Seems to Have, REED Figured he was 1 of those 30+ Year Old's that Turned Pro Somewhat LATE, like Kovalev, Rigondeaux or GGG...But Dude is Only 25...Does he have a DROOPY Eyelid, ala, David Reid, or Some Other Potentially Career SHORTENING Ailment???...Does he have a SMALL Window of Time on his Work Visa???::... REED's All for an Accelerated Route, but DAMN!!!...Orlando Salido's a Bit MUCH For Your 2nd Pro Fight...Why the RUSH???...Why Run the Risk of BURNOUT or OVERexposure, on a 25 Year Old???... REED:dunno:
Same here, I don't get the rush. I was shocked he was even fighting someone as decent as he did yesterday for a pro debut.
Yep. Lomachenko is quality, this does seem unnecessary, but it would stand out for sure as a unique achievement. Anyone think he's maybe trying to out-do Rigo? Seeing as they're pretty much both considered the greatest amateurs ever (at least in recent times)?
Salido proved he is still legit so a win over him would legitimize lomachenko as a foe for the jackal
Yes. The recent incarnation of them being without headgear and for pay had fight fax counting them as pro bouts. Joseph Diaz Jr has a loss on his record because of it, unless they've changed it.
It's an Official GRAY Area within "Professional Boxing"... REED Knows 2 Dallas Area Pros who Participated in the WSB & LOST 2-3 Bouts in the Process...Nonetheless, BOTH are Considered "Undefeated" on Boxrec & Most Media Outlets...Yet, According to a Matchmaking Entity Known as FIGHT FACTS, the Losses are on Their Records... REED:hammert:
Lumachenko has obviously a lot of potential but he showed plenty of flaws in his game saturday night imo, especially on the inside. He still needs to work on some things before taking an inside beast like Salido, who I would make a slight favorite if they fought now.
confidentially, I don't give a damn about ms miramontes. nor do I know a damn ting bout her. At least u upgraded my status from bingo champeen Gladys to a cocaine connoisseur who defeated van winkle
Lomachenko is a badman but this is a massive and, as some have already said, IMO needlessly risky strategy. I've long argued that exceptional ammys waste the first few years of their pro career (on the whole) but this is a bit ridiculous. MTF
