I heard some shitty things about this movie, I still want to see it. Machete Kills Again...In Space sounds like fun.
yeah that one blew, but depp's performance was good. That being said. Sin City & Planet Terror were both great. Machete #1 was fun. This one blew.

Terrible movies are made every day. But this movie is paying homage to a Grind-house flick. Grind-house movies are cheesy B movies that are suppose to be bad. But so bad that they are good. That is the point of the movie. The movie was made because it was a pretend trailer in movie and it was so bad and so absurd that the outcry for it to be a real movie was too much to ignore.

Well, like i have told others who go against the masses when it comes to movies. You are in the minority. I have never heard anyone call Machete boring. The movie is non stop action. Calling it boring is probably one of the most ridiculous things i have read on this forum.
I didn't like the first one but maybe it's because I took it too seriously. Mind you I'm not going to rewatch it to find out, but I might just check out the sequel after all.
The 70's B-Movies that Rodriguez & Tarantino INSIST on COPYING, errr, "Paying HOMAGE" To, were Bad in HINDSIGHT...Like Most of the Blaxploitation Films of that Era, they were Considered LEGIT Films Back Then...It Wasn't Until Years Later that we Realized how "Bad" they Were...The Evolution of Film Making... Now, Rodriguez & Tarantino have Made Themselves Rich & Famous by INTENTIONALLY Stealing Schtick from Flicks they KNOW are Bad???...Sorry, but No Thanks... REED:mj:
Grinhouse pictures are not the same as black exploitation pics of the 70s. They were low budget movies that were specifically released in cheap and exclusively in grindhouse theaters. You weren't going to find these movies in any typical theater or drive in. They were also known for their fake trailers that they made up specifically for the films and usually came with double features. They also had scenes cut due to damaged film and horrible discoloration. It wasn't intentional either. The movies were just so cheap, so bad and so amateur at times, that the films ended up that way. And QT and RR were rich and famous way before these movies were made.

Machete Kills Finally watched this. Just as bad (good?) as the first one only that this time the ridiculous plot sky dives into SPY KIDS territory of Rodriguez scifi universe in the second half of the film and I can't say that was for good. The action is non-stop, bloody and over-the-top as expected. Most of the stars in the trailers have only glorified cameo roles (like Antonio Banderas that if you blink you'll miss him). Carlos Estevez aka Charlie Sheen as the president had the best line, ' winning' and 'Mother fucker I am not asking you: I am the fucking president of the United States!" Mel Gibson's James Bond-like evil scientist is more a cartoon than Machete himself. Had Rodriguez kept it down to earth like the first it would have done better, but the scifi angle hurt it bad. Amber Heard Amber Heard as Miss San Antonio is the most beautiful curvy blonde ever put on screen. Sofia Vergara is okay, but her fembot impersonation wasn't as amusing as those in Austin Powers 16 years earlier. Lady Gaga's role will not help dissipate the rumours of her true sexual gender...or maybe her role was just to mock those rumours. But for my money is Alexa Vega, the former SPY KID little girl who is now 25 and a full blown babe, the one and true treat of this mediocre film: when she can look sexier than Sofia Vergara you know she don't need to be typecasted anymore as a former kid actor. 5/10
She is great in "Modern Family". She is currently the highest paid actress on television. And she is a MILF. Who cares about her strong accent? look at those curves!
I am sure that if you could had an opportunity to bang her you will not think twice about her being 'annoying'.
