Have you seen Ringside or any of the promotional interviews between the two? Do you think Groves has rattled Froch?

I don't think anyone can rattle Froch, he just goes about his job

Froch is the type of guy who's never a sure thing either way. He's vulnerable, and flawed enough that he's never a SURE bet to win, yet he's good enough that it's rarely safe to bet against him. In this case, I think he'll beat too much for Groves in the long run, but a part of me can envision Groves pulling the upset. Should be a very good fight, wish HBO had picked it up. It's a more compelling matchup than Pac-Rios, which will likely be one sided.

Do you think Groves is man enough to stand and trade with Froch from the off?

It depends how much Groves has recovered from the beating he received against Chunky

I don't see why he would. He should definitely force Carl to lead. I don't think he'll bitch out when Froch forces him to fight tho, it'll be a good one.

Groves is chinny but he can bang a bit. I'm not so sure his chin will hold up if Froch lays a good one on him, but does he have the type of power to put a dent in Froch?

Jimmy, I watched that video, and I agree with Hut, I don't think Frock is rattled. He looked bored to me, and he is the type of guy to just go about his bidness, like any good old fashioned piece of machinery.

Surprised some of you are giving Groves a shot at all tbh, I think Frock will batter him, Groves is out of his league.

I agree with you both; Froch doesn't seem intimidated or rattled in the slightest.

Btw, what's up with Groves? He's taken on this new found attitude and it doesn't suit him. I find him so annoying.

Agreed, he seems like a cock. It's like he's trying to copy that testicle Degale.

Certain things he does now just reminds me of Adam Booth. Btw, if you did not know, Groves and Booth are no longer together.

jaja, there's a longer vid on youtube where they're splitscreen on sky and about 15m in Groves says for like the 2nd or 3rd time that Froch is scared that he might box him from the outside and thats why Froch is 'begging him to make a fight of it'....Froch literally throws his head in the air groaning as if 'oh jesus fuck this guy is such a tool' then laughs really quietly to himself. Then just puts his game face back on and starts talking politely again. If he's rattled Froch at all its just the tedium of having to listen to him

Groves has the style to make the farmer look bad. The farmer doesn't deal well with speed or stink and that's what Groves will bring. Could be bad for Frcoh, unless Froch just turns out to be levels above ginge, in which case its Carl by beating.

Exactly how I see it. I have a feeling Groves might be good and if he is he's got the right style. But it's at least as likely he gets the Bute treatment.

'It's all about levels' as the platitude goes

So if Groves pulls off the upset and wins comfortably (not saying that's going to happen obviously, just a hypothetical scenario), does that enhance DeGales legacy as even Froch believes he won that fight?

Isn't about time DeGale left Kent (:scratcher:) and fought somebody with a pulse?

It's true. Chunky's career has stagnated.

I think it's a fair question, Froch is obviously well respected and liked by most on here (with the exception of Neil and a couple others), whilst DeGale is close to unanimously derided, but surely people would have to revise their opinions if the above scenario unfolded?

Also, yes I agree that Chunkys career has stagnated.
