Does Edwin have ANY chance of pulling the huge upset? Doubtful. There's nothing spectacular that jumps out about Rodriguez. He's decent enough, but very much out his depth here, even if Ward is rusty. Dre will win going away.

I don't have to know anything about the opponent. My first reaction is Ward by decision.

Ward will win, but Rodriguez will do far better than expected.

Ward easily. Edwin is an alright fighter but Ward is just too good.

Ward UDZZZZZZZZ. I hope he gets mullered but I expect him to win and cause a spate of narcoleptic fits around the Oakland area in the process.

Rodriguez looks quite wild and reckless to me. The good thing is though is that he'll come to fight and will give it a go, but Ward's going to be too technical for him. He might even force Ward to open up a bit too and it could get a bit tasty, but as cdogg said, it could be a dirty one. There's a possibility this one ends early due to cuts.

Oh and I'm picking Glazkov to upset Adamek.

Ward decision. He's just too good at this point, but ring rust will show for the first 2 rounds.

Rumours are Rodriguez won't make weight. He'll get fined $200,000 apparently.

if i was rodriguez Id Tell ward I fight at whatever weight i weighed in, and i wont pay any fine. if ward wants to scrap the fight over this then he can. ward has been off forever and people really dont give a shit about him at the moment. if he wants to waste a training camp and miss a payday over a few pounds then so be it. Rodriguez has leverage here if he plays his cards right

@danrafaelespn: Purses from Ontario, Calif: Ward $1.9M, Rodriguez $1M. If Edwin misses weight, will forfeit 20% (1/2 to Ward, half to commission). #boxing

Rodriguez looks tough and looks like he can take a shot, but I think Ward stops him.

So Rodriguez won't be stepping back on the scales. He's earning near enough $1million to fight Ward but fails to make weight. Be interesting to compare his purse to other challengers purses.
