Thanks for that... Very enjoyable... Little bit pretentious, of course, but the footage was really cool especially the Cannonball Adderly, Duke and Sly footage which I had never seen before...

I feel like Morrissey would have clean, fragrant pits and Steely Dan's would smell like matting and hemp.

I feel like Steely Dan are interested in humor and girls and Morrissey is into dicks and morosity

Acerbic maybe, self absorbed definitely but not morose. NOT MOROSE!

I feel like Steely Dan would drive a pick up truck across state lines for fun and play acoustic guitar under a cactus.

Donald Fagen and Walter Becker likely have as much interest in Cacti and barns as Woody Allen does. Full stop.

Can you prove he doesn't like cacti? If not what gives you the right to belittle my feelings?

As a denizen of the greater Metro area and the child, grandchild and great-grandchild of New Yorkers, I can say with 100% forthright conviction that Steely Dan are unlikely to be interested in Cacti or Barns and have likely never willingly been in the vacinity of either... I can also say that Steely Dan are infinitely more "urban" than Morrissey

Co-founders Donald Fagen and Walter Becker met in 1967 while attending Bard College in upstate New York. After serving as touring musicians with Jay and the Americans and trying their hand as staff songwriters, they formed Steely Dan in Los Angeles as an outlet for a growing backlog of offbeat, original material that no one else seemed inclined to record…...On record, the duo recruited the cream of L.A.’s jazz-pop studio scene, including Michael McDonald, Victor Feldman, Jeff Porcaro, David Paich, and jazz stalwarts like David Sanborn, Tom Scott, Michael Brecker, Larry Carlton, Chuck Rainey, Bernard Purdie, Phil Woods and Wayne Shorter….

LMAO... they went there because they were hired as songwriters for ABC records which was based in... DING-DING! Los Angeles

They are utterly quintessential New Yorkers to the core... Everything about them, their references, their speech, their attitudes absolutely SCREAM New York... Numerous songs in their catalogue are dedicated to bashing the LA they found themselves in

Hut is in for a rude awakening when he visits DA CAPITAL OF DA WOILD and finds that more people act like Donald Fagen, LL Cool J, Bill Burr, Me, John Leguizamo, Hanzy's relative Prakash, Harvey Keitel and Woody Allen than they do Morrissey or David Byrne:fightme:

Most of the people who act like the latter come from suburbs and move to NYC to go to art school
