Word. And if all that doesn't piss Neil off maybe the fact that I plan to watch the Linsanity documentary as soon as it's available for download will. ::
texmex sure does like spouting off all these stats from "the second half of last year". how did your guy do in the playoffs ?
Texmex what is that rumor about Asik asking to be traded? he's stuck in the bench today and he doesn't seems happy about it.
Asik has never publicly stated he wanted to be traded. If something was said, it was probably from his agent. I believe Asik was playing Euro ball when the Howard signing went down and who knows whats what with those Euro reporters. I think they have to trade him and it will have to be this year, whether Asik wants it or not. He's too expensive for a backup, and he's not going to resign with the Rockets with Howard there, and the Rockets aren't in the business of letting a valuable player go for nothing. I hear Ryan Anderson could be had right now, but Rockets want more.
Asik + Davis would be a killer defensive duo. Asik is worth more than Anderson IMO, but Anderson is familiar with Dwight and helps spread the floor.
Well they just said on the TNT broadcast that Asik has asked again to be traded per Feigen. So I guess he did ask, twice now. But the Rockets aren't going to just give him away. Parsons is badass by the way :kidcool:
I agree, and I'm not sure the Rockets want to face that duo so often as the Pelicans are in their division. I don't see anything else on their roster that the Rockets would want and if I remember correctly, they traded their draft pick to Phily for Holiday. Maybe a three team trade. I expect Asik to be gone by the deadline either way.
Yeah he is definitely on, he better keep it up or it will be an easy win for the Rockets, so I rather he stay on for a good game!
The Rockets should make a trade with Miami and bring in Rashard Lewis. He's on a minimum contract isn't getting any run at all with the Heat so it shouldn't be a hard deal to make. That way they can keep Asik not worry about trying to get Anderson and save money in the process. Lewis doesn't play D at all which is why Spoelstra won't play him, but from what I've seen when he does play he can still stretch the floor at a very high percentage.
Fucking DAGGER by Westbrook!!!...Wow...From 2-3 Feet BEHIND the 3pt Line...OKC Takes the Lead on G-State... REED:dance:
Iguodala Comes Back & Hits the Game Winning Fadeaway Jumper, w/2.3 Remaining... DOUBLE WOW!!!... REED:twitch:
If Andrew Bogut & David Lee Stay HEALTHY (Not to Mention Steph Curry's ANKLES), Golden State is a LEGITIMATE CHAMPIONSHIP Contender...Is there a BETTER Starting 5 in the NBA???... REED:dunno:
That team is flat out scary. The only concerns for them are like you said, injuries. I think they may rely a little too much on outside shooting, but then again, they have so many of them, that somebody's shot should be falling and when they all are hot, watch out! They have the best fans in the NBA also.
GS will be even better when their bench get their shit together. Like REED said, their starting lineup is stacked.
All this Talk about Wiggins, Randle, Parker & other Freshman...Marcus Smart Drops 39 Tonight on 11th Ranked Memphis...As ALWAYS, Smart Displayed his Versatility Adding 5steals, 4boards, 4dimes AND 2blocks...
Considering the LEVEL of Competition, Derrick Rose had his Best HALF of the Regular Season, in the Bulls 97-87 LOSS in Denver...Overall, he Finished w/19pts, 4 boards and 4dimes, but 17 of those Points Came in the 1st Half... For what it's Worth, Rose was EASILY THE Best Guard on the Floor, which he Shared w/Ty Lawson, who Reggie Miller was HEAVILY Hyping Throughout the Game...Lawson Finished w/10pts, 4boards and 7 dimes... REED:hammert:
Marcus Smart had an epic block vs Memphis IIRC. The kid is the goods. Rose is slowly getting back to form, but in the end it will not matter because the Bulls will eventually fall to either Indiana or Miami.
Yep, a Weakside Defenseive/Helping Blocked Shot, which are Usually the Most VISUALLY Pleasing...Swatted the Rock into the 3rd-4th or Whatever Row... Jay Bilas, a VERY Astute College Basketball Commentator for ESPN OPENLY Referred to Memphis' Backcourt as THE BEST in the Nation, Prior to the Game...Smart Completely OWNED them on BOTH Sides of the Ball... The Ballyhooed Freshman will Likely Wind Up Being Drafted HIGHER than Smart Anyways, but that's ONLY Because they're 6'8-6-10ish, While Smart's on the SHORT Side of 6'4...Smart's a MORE Athletic, BETTER Ballhandling, INFERIOR Outside Shooting Version of Joe Dumars...A Slightly LESS Athletic, but MUCH More Basketball SAVVY Version of Eric Bledsoe... From his 1st NBA Game, Marcus Smart will Be THE STRONGEST PG in the League & his Sheer COMPETITIVENESS is Rare...Despite Being Projected as High as # 2 on Quite a Few 2013 Mock Drafts & KNOWING Full Well the 2014 Draft Would Be LOADED, Smart Simply COULDN'T Turn Pro After Oklahoma State's EMBARRASSING 1st Round Loss to Oregon, in the 2013 NCAA Tournament... REED Knows Rose "Injured his Knee" Tonight, but he's ALREADY Had an MRI???....DISASTROUS, Career THREATENING News, if True... REED:hair:
Dude had to Be ASSISTED to the Locker Room...DAMN!!!... If this Plays Out like it's Looking, the Bulls May Need to Go ANOTHER Direction...Rose Would Sit Out the REMAINDER of this Season & Conceivably All of NEXT Season (Knowing Him)... The Bulls Could No Looooooonger Afford to Place their Hopes & Dreams in Rose's Hands...Even SADDER is the Fact he's a Hometown Guy... REED:hair:
