For the life of me, I can't see Manny being shot enough quite yet to lose to someone as slow, and hittable as Rios. Pac TKO 8-9 sounds about right to me,

I actually like Rios to go the distance here... But I think Pac wins wide... Too quick

If Rios somehow survives to hear the final bell, his face will be uglier than Margarito's.

I hope Pac loses. If he wins then all these bullshit talks of a Mayweather fight will start again, and I don't care for that fight at all. Better late than never ? no. Never is absolutely better.

Pacquiao KO 8 sounds about right. Too fast and relentless. It's just a bad style matchup for Rios. Rios has a great chin but he gets hit too much and isn't quick enough to return fire.

I see Rios being in a shell most of the fight because of the speed, just unable to get off... oddly enough, that inability to truly compete is why I think he goes the distance... Rios is easy to hit clean when he's engaging... Nobody is easy to hit clean when they are in a guard the whole night

Yup, me too. And I don't want Pacquiao to avenge JMM's loss. A Pac win could lead to a 5th fight.

That is the reason I want Pac to win....bitch ass Marquez landed a perfect shot and got the biggest victory of his career...but was too much of a chicken shit to give Pac another fight....

Rios is the last fighter on Earth who I'd expect to go into a shell. He has too much heart, and not enough brains to ever go into a shell. Pac will beat the shit outta him, and Rios will keep throwing until he's on his back.

Fighters who get KTFO often suck the next time out. Rios is a pretty dangerous opponent for that reason alone.

Not a fight I'm really interested in. It's not a ppv quality fight and I am guessing it will not do very well compared to recent pacq fights.

cdogg has a point - great speed and power can put almost any fighter in a shell. Even the high workrate human punchbag Plasterito's punch output was dropped significantly by Pacquiao's offense.

For some reason I can't see it happening with Rios though. I expect him to throw a lot and just get battered.

    worrrd

Jose Luis Ramirez against Camacho and Whitaker... He couldn't catch up with them, just kind of got peppered with shots the whole fight, and he was a guy who would mix it up with anyone toe-to-toe and with considerable success

Per Marquez own declarations he doesn't need to fight Pacquiao again since he already beat him four times.:wack:

there is really no upside for marquez to fight pacquiao again aside from the payday. he beat the guy 3 times out of 4 and knocked him the fuck out last time. if he doesnt knock him out again he wont win a decision

now if rios beats pacquiao them him and marquez is a huge fight

Just out of curiosity, which of the fights did you not have him winning?

    Yup.
Ramirez went toe-to-toe with Chapo Rosario, probably the hardest puncher ever in the lightweight division, and beat him. He even gave Arguello he run for his money, but he looked like a complete amateur against Whitaker and Camacho.

Fair, could certainly see that. I've got it 2-1-1 Marquez as it stands. Could never see a case for Pacquiao leading the series, even by being generous.
