People symphatize with Roach because of his condition, but he's gradually become an asshole since he started training Manny.

 

id say since pacquiao really started getting to be a huge star. i agree though

 

Roach in typical fashion triggered that whole deal. He's the one that's really gotten big headed since Manny became a huge star.

Yeah, I don't want to rip on a guy with Parkinson's, but Roach has really milked it into an undeserved "good guy" image

 

I think Roach was fair enough. He had work to do, and he had the gym, WTF was Garcia still doing there? Its the week of of a big fight, not a time for niceties. Probably mind games on the part of Garcia to begin with.

 

I don't really like Garcia but he was in the right, and he played it pretty cool. There's no need to speak to anybody like that.

 

Garcia had the gym until 11, then it was Roach's for 2 hours, both parties knew that. Its well past 11 and he's still swanning around conducting interviews? Get the fuck out the gym! Also, there's a back story to this with Rios and Garcia ripping Roach about his Parkinsons, so the 'professional nice guy' act' is phony, or at least you can understand why Roach would impute that its phony and that the time overrun is a mind game/provocation. If I was Roach I would have handled it exactly the same. Ariza is a POS as well.

and it wasnt roach and pacquiaos gym for 2 hours after that, it was scheduled for them for 5 hours, because its a media thing and obviously pacquiao is the guy the media wants to see and talk with more. not to mention pacquiao wasnt even there yet.

 

real classy stuff there. at least garcia seemed calm throughout and rios wasn't involved. i dont understand, why do ariza and roach hate each other again?

The thing is Roach didn't had to cut off the interview like that. If he wanted to complain, all he had to do was tell Top Rank. He felt he had the authority to kick them out. I think this had to do more with Ariza than anything else, but he clearly lost his handles this time. Like people said, Manny wasn't even there.

 

yea, but what was the reasoning behind that? if i recall correctly, ariza was fired, then re-hired and i forget which fight, but there was serious tension between roach and ariza when roach didn't want him around. might have been the hatton fight, but not sure.

 

Roach should have mounted him, got mount, then mounted him in another way

 

Pac has said that all this nonsense hasn't and won't affect him come fight night. Respect.

As Others have Said, if Manny Pacquiao were Actually There WITH Roach, he'd Have a Legitimate Gripe...It Seems like the Issue @ Hand was 30 Minutes or So, which is NEGLIGIBLE...No Doubt, Both Camps Are Stationed @ THE NICEST Hotel Possible, so if You Need an EXTRA 30 Minutes, Hour, 2 Hours, that's NATHAN...

He Blatantly INTERRUPTED a Live Interview Garcia was Doing & Tried to BULLY Rios's Camp Into Leaving...Manny Pacquiao is NOTORIOUS for Being HOURS LATE to Public Workouts like that, Which Makes this a CLEAR Case of Roach Unnecessarily INSTIGATING a Situation...

Also, It's Bad Enough Roach is the 1 that Adorned Pac w/the Nickname, "Mexican Assassin", but then he REFERS to the Guy who Stepped to him as a "Mexican Motherfucker", as if that's Some Sort of SLIGHT...Sadly, it was INTENDED to Be a Slight, in Roach's Eye's...

Yep. People had forgotten about that. I remember that. At the time, somebody posted a Tszyu vs Rios thread in MM, and I said "remember that impression that Rios did of Roach? Well he would be doing it for real by the time Tszyu was through with him".

Whatever else about Roach, kicking a cripple is no good. Roach had the gym and Roach is a former fighter. Ariza is a drug dealer, when you get right down to it. Freddie is an annoyance but lets face it, the only thing Freddie fucks up is his morning cup of coffee. If Freddie stepped to me, I would just walk to the far side of the room and chill for the hour or so it took him to catch up.
