We used to play 'grown ups' yeah. It was totally innocent but my folks and auntie/uncle gave us a dressing down/telling off for it

Martha Reeves was a fine singer... "Jimmy Mack" is a great one from she and the Vandellas

I'm sure I read somewhere that Jimmy Mack was originally turned down by Motown and was only rereleased years later

Urgh. Big Charles had it right-

Symbolism, apparently. He is meant to represent the BBC looking over the shoulders of the Radiophonic Workshop. It's rather irritating but a fascinating documentary nonetheless.

I man, sure, cdogg will immediately spot it as a blatant rip-off off Marvin's '78 hit, 'Got To Give It Up'..but bottom-line: it gets the women going..yeah?

First song my son ever danced to. He was not quite 2 years old and Jimmy Mack was playing on the Galaxie satellite channel. He couldn't walk yet, but he pulled himself up to the couch, watched the tv, and rocked back and forth for the whole song. Then he threw up.
