Not really. Like Puerto just said, Maidana is as good a style matchup as he can hope for at world level. A relatively stupid, basic fighter who can be countered easily and controlled quite easily, as per the Alexander fighter.

I'm 99% sure Broner will prove to be nothing at elite level. Just a stupid little Floyd wannabe, without anywhere near as much talent as people give him credit for.

 

Maidana is a glorified clubfighter... I expect Broner to whup him easily... means nothing

Considering it was his 1st Fight @ 147, SKIPPING OVER 140 Altogether, the FAIR Thing to Do is Cut Broner Some Slack...As You Said, he CLEARLY Won the Fight...The Guys that STOPPED Malignaggi DIDN'T Move Up from 135 in the Process AND they Stopped Him in the LATTER Rounds...It's NOT as if ANYBODY's Ever Walked Through Malignaggis for an Easy, Early Doors KO...
