It's far and away a better fight action wise, but that wasn't the question...or was it? I'm confused. What do you want from me Jimmy?

For the first time in his fightbeat career I feel like Jimmles has really lost the plot.

mayweather jr dominating alvarez and guerrero is better than provodnikov losing to bradley and defeating alvarado. he'll win the award officially anyhow

Its relatively easy to frustrate Nonito with stink, much harder to take actual rounds off him (among people who can score boxing, anyway) and really quite amazing to do what Rigo did with the panache he did. It's so far and away the stand out victory/performance of the year I'd give him it on that alone.....if he wins impressively next week I think its a one horse race. ONE HORSE, MEX!

I didn't even realise he was fighting Agbeko next week. Agbeko is a decent fighter, if he dominates him too he's a deserved fighter of the year, I'll give you that.

For some reason I completely forgot about Floyd. Fuck it, for my money right now Floyd is fighter of the year. Two good opponents, completely dominated, and Floyd is no spring chicken. He looked great in both those fights.

Yeah, it's no coincidence. Too busy drooling and allowing his hand to wander.

Amir Khan. That explains why he's getting a shot at Floyd.

As it stands rigondeaux could ko agbeko with one punch in the first 30 seconds then wander into Kirkland and tapias dressing rooms to cold cock them both but mayweather jr will still get the official award

To be honest, if Stevenson is to be considered, then so should Kovalev. Both fough 4 times and had 4 ko.

If we analyze their 2013 record, Campillo and Cloud are pretty much the same quality of win but most had Campillo winning their fight and Cloud was coming off form layoffs sandwiched between an embarrassing loss to Hopkins, advantage Kovalev.

White and Boorne, two journeyman, maybe a slight edge to Stevenson since Boorne had a win over him, wich made his win more meaningful but White is probably better head to head.

Silakh and Bellew, two second tier guy at lhw, imo, Silakh is more talented and probably the better fighter head to head but Bellew is far more proven. Advantage Stevenson.

Cleverly-Dawson is the big one, while Dawson obviously had a better career than Cleverly, but the big quesiton is was he the same coming off his ko loss to Ward while Cleverly was cleary at his zenith.

Good point. I never rated Doorson, but he looked like shit Vs Ward, and it wouldn't surprise me if his career is done at this point.

Other than that he beat a couple of fringe contenders at best. I'm surprised so many seem to think Stevenson is a deserving FOTY.

I'm about the last one left, but I think Floyd's win over Canelo was an excellent win. Not as good as Rigon over Donaire, but very impressive. Agbeko and Guerrero are throw-away fights with a slight nod to Guerrero, I suppose.

I like Kovalev as FOY, but since no one is actually laying out the wins of candidates, who knows.

Why is that a barrier for you?

Why not lay them out yourself if you feel strongly about it?
