Paul Spadafora suffered his first official defeat last night. Will that keep him out the HOF?

He can rebound. For his next fight I'd just like to see him move up 3 divisions and fight GGG. That's a good fight for him.

Why is Spadafora hated so much. Apart from shooting his wife in the belly and blaming black people. Was it the sparring video?

He wasn't exactly popular before any of that nonsense.

Kind of like a real professional version of a Zelenoff.

Spadafora was boring as hell and not that good. There was a guy on Maxboxing who was a huge fan of his and swore the sparring video was evidence he would beat Floyd in a real fight & Floyd was scared of him.

Glad to see Chris John knocked off, hope that's the end of the all-too-regular Chris john press releases on fightnews. End of those Daud Yordan updates too hopefully. No doubt the contrarians will try to blow up his achievements but he was just a reasonably skilled, awkward, "good" fighter who would not held his title for very long if he had faced the best in the division. He's Calzaghe pre-Lacy, Michalczewski without Hill or Griffin.

John has one big win, JMM, and that's it. You don't find too many people arguing that he actually deserved that decision, either.

JMM said he was robbed, but when he has ever admitted defeat? That said Chris John failed to tie Eusebio Pedroza's record of 19 successful defenses of the featherweight title. The Panamanian fans can breath easy now.

JMM is a bitch. I like Chris John. But watching the fight, it seemed like JMM deserved the win and, like I said, you don't find many people claiming John actually deserved the decision.
