How do you see both these matchups down? I see Lara beating the Hell outta Ginger, and Kirkland-Canelo as one of the more fun matchups to made. I wouldn't count Kirkland out. That bull dyke does wonders for him. Granted, Canelo is much better than Tapia (Dominicans can't fuckin fight!), but I wouldn't be shocked to see Kirkland take the Ginger deep and drown him.
I think so too, but I think I counted Kirkland out too quickly because of how shitty he looked against Molina. I had to consider that Canelo isn't a cutie like Molina.
Helluva lot more interesting than watching Floyd beat up Bambi legs. Kirkland isn't skilled enough to win, but he'll force Floyd to have to open up, which will lead to an entertaining beat down.
Lara would embarrass Ginger pubes. I give the edge to Ginger pubes over Kirkland but I'd like to see how Ginger pubes handles Kirkland's power.
I don't see how that's true ^ Khan dominated Judah and Malignaggi at the very least... Those wins shit all over Kirkland's best
Maybe X means not as bad an opponent, Floyd-Kirkland would be a more interesting match up.....although nothings more interesting to me than seeing Mayweather put his old school black snake all up in Khan's business
Khans handspeed brings something to the table we haven't seen for a while in a Floyd fight. He won't win and probably wouldn't last as long as Kirkland but he'd be more competitive.
I'm all for a Mayweather-Khan matchup but not right now. I'd rather see Khan get a string of wins and then go for it. I don't see how they could effectively build this one up at the moment.
now is the time. he is in the right place at the right time since mayweather jr and showtime need an opponent for may.
If Kirkland gets past the first two rounds, he'll gave Floyd a ton of problems. The dude is the definition of intense.
Floyd would shit all over Kirkland, Khan is one of the more competitive matchups for him right now. You guys are acting like Floyd is the type of come-forward destroyer that Khan has been stopped by in the past.. Khan is younger, bigger, faster, and hits harder. (I'll stop short of "young, hungry lion" and leave that to LOK)
loaded, dewd, that is not even close to being true. Floyd hits much harder, without a doubt. Khan has fast, stinging shots, that opponents do feel for that reason but he is not remotely a puncher. Floyd even at 147 has respectable power. Saying Khan is faster is also not really true. At this stage he probably has slightly faster hands, but part of what makes Floyd great is the speed that he thinks and reacts, as well as moves his head. In those 3 speed related attributes he has a massive advantage over Khan. Khan uses his fast, rangey button mashing to win a round against Floyd, then gets picked apart and dominated.
But it will make more ppvs than the Guerrero fight which made 1 million ppvs. That is all that Floyd cares about.
It would be next to impossible for Canelo Alvarez to beat Erislandy Lara and James Kirkland. He'd fare much better fighting them one at a time.
