    Khan can definitely hurt Broner.

Broner says he wants an immediate rematch. No warm up.

He probably can, but his style is different to Maidana's too.

Fuck Bernard. Bernard stuck around because he loved being able to piss and moan to the cameras. He know they ain't no camera in the dressing room.

The reason he dropped his arms is because he thought that what was coming was a jab/hook to the midriff. Lots of clever fighters knew how to turn bodyshots into headshots, the thing is I never classed Maidana as a "clever fighter".

His arms weren't dropped to block. Both went straight out. That's not how you block punches. Body shots are blocked with elbows down.

If his elbows were down, then yes you'd be correct.

    That's not what happened.

I'm so glad to be wrong, I've really over estimated Broner's capacity to move out of harm's way and beat Maidana to the punch.

This fight should serve as a lesson to up and coming fighters.

Broner fought his ass off last night and showed balls like you'd want a fighter to show. "HOWEVER" the persona and asshole characteristics negates all of that. Last night's perform is one that should have won him fans instead of providing glee to people he's pissed off.

Secondly, I'm glad for Maidana. I always like to see hard nosed guys get big wins. Granted, I hate that Robert Garcia had a hand in it, but I'm happy for Maidana nonetheless.

Agreed. If Broner stuck around and gave Maidana his props it might have earned him some respect.

Instead he ran away like a little baby and made things even worse. That's not to say I was surprised by it. If anything I would have been surprised if stayed and acted like a man. Broner simply justified all the hatred he's accumulated.

I did see quotes from Broner after the fight (before he went to the hospital) where he gave Maidana props...seemed gracious and said he wanted an immediate rematch with no warm up fight.

Admirable but the time to express those sentiments was immediately after the fight. Would have gone a long way toward helping his image.

Best reffing performance since Joeseph Cooper. we'll probably never see this ref again.

Yup. Broner tried to game the ref with the headbutt he also fought like a boss going for the KO late while shipping allot of hard shots and gave us a strong contender for fight of the year.

Why would Floyd fight this guy?

The big money fight with Khan makes perfect sense.

Did you think, going in, that Broner had the gumption to be in a fight that good and still come forward looking for the KO in the 12th? I didn't.

He even forces them to touch gloves. By grabbing their arms and touching their gloves off each other. I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually starts hitting the fighters himself.

Agreed Hut. He's putting his punches together rather well, has pretty good timing and is pretty accurate. He had a better defense than usual too. He might have been ill prepared for the Alexander fight.

He's shifted his weight further back I noticed, more old school style - he used to be right over the front foot and down the middle. Also the way he's disguising some shots is pretty cute these days

Broner sure did try to bitch out with that headbut though. All praise be to Laurence Cole, Laurence Cole is in glory.
