Could Khan pull this off or does Gatti drag him into a brawl and KO him?

I can see Gatti landing one of those out of nowhere left hooks and KO'ed Khan....

I agree. Khan would be winning early but he'd do his usual act of thinking he's a puncher and Gatti would lay him out with a left hook eventually.

Gatti survives getting shellacked for a few rounds, then lands a big punch & ends it

Khan would beat the shit out of Gatti, easily. Khan is all wrong for Gatti, too fast, too mobile. Gatti wouldn't land enough to slow him down.

See I don't know. As overrated as Gatti was, is Lamont Peterson that much better?.. What about Prescott (granted it was 135)?

I honestly think any fighter with a good punch, decent chin, and reasonable skills inside can get to Amir and disrupt his rhythm. It's not like Khan has good defense to avoid Gatti's shots. Arturo would land plenty and I just don't see Khan surviving 12 rounds of it.

I'm heavy loath to pick Khan in a MM but did Gatti ever beat anyone even half decent?

I'd pick Khan, although, you'd have to be a fool not to give Gatti a chance. Khan is NEVER EVER a lock against anyone who can punch. Having said that, Gatti wasn't in the same league as Danny Garcia, and even Peterson is a better technician than Gatti was. I think Khan's handspeed would be too much for the Canadian punching bag, BUT there's a possibility of Gatti catching him with a fight ending hook at some point. At the end of the day......... they both suck.

If Khan had some defense I'd go with him. But for all his movement, he still gets tagged at will.

Gatti was horribly overrated. But he'd land frequently on that chinny chin chin.

But yes at the end of the day, both do suck.

VERY possible. However, considering all the trouble Gatti had with handspeed, I'd make Khan a slight favorite. Khan would almost CERTAINLY be on Queer street at some point, but I think he weathers it and pulls out a decision.

And I mean the Khan of 3 years ago. I think Khan basically peaked in the Judah fight. After that he lost to Peterson, and got laid out by Danny, and I doubt he'll ever be a top fighter again. He simply wants the Floyd fight to cash out.
