I am going to write an article about this and I'd like to hear your opinions. My list became very euro-biased (surprise surprise) so I'd like to hear it from you if I am forgetting someone or overrating another.

I have left out guys who are clearly unproven (Wilder) and guys who are big punchers but whose effectiveness gets easily reduced (Price). Also, the list is about being able to produce a KO, not just pure power. So, here goes

    1. Kovalev
    2. Stevenson
    3. Golovkin
    4. Thurman
    5. Provodnikov
    6. Matthysse
    7. Garcia (Mikey)
    8. Donaire
    9. Wlad
    10. Maidana

I think The Donaire should be much higher.

I thought about him. His one-punch power is spectacular and he has the ability to score KOs with several punches. However, IMO he is not very good at forcing the KO, he counts more on the other guy being aggressive

I still think he warrants at least 4th spot based on the quality of guys he's whacked

Hmmmm, idk who after that. I don't think Chino applies. Not saying he doesn't have power, but if Provo, Matthysse, or Thurman were the ones hitting Broner on Sat, AB would have been leaving on a stretcher.

I'm not sure who has a better hook between Mikey Garcia and Thurman. Garcia's is more precise, and better timed, but in terms of raw power, Thurman's might pack more heat.

Kirkland's heavy handed, but I wouldn't consider him a KO puncher.

OBVIOUSLY, Kirkland Hits Hard, but his KO's are a Result of PRESSURE More than Sheer Power, in REED's Opinion...

Kirkland Beats You Down & TAKES Your Will, as Opposed to REMOVING you from Conciousness, w/Just a Few Well Placed Shots...

    Exactly.

If anything, maybe Angulo belongs on this list. Guy is slow as shit, but when he lands right, he's capable of scoring some highlight reel KO's.

the list is a joke if Three Time champ Randall Bailey is not mentioned. He can knock shawn porter out.

I specifically named him in the opening post as not worthy, since he hasn't beaten a top-50 opponent of yet. As I have said before, David Price looked as destructive against the same type (or same period) opponents. It could be that Wilder is the biggest puncher of them all but he is still totally unproven

Dunno man, nobody ever did what he did to either Harisson or that Lyviezcivnvhygfhgygnbcvov guy. I get your point but I think he's worth a number ten spot - besides, a destructive American heavyweight on a KO streak makes good copy in an article, no? ;)
