Don't forget...Hamed chose Barrera because MAB lost the rematch with Morales. I vividly recall Emmanuel Steward (who was training hamed at the time) say on air after MAB beat up Jessie Salud on HBO, "I think we picked the wrong guy.)

Hamed wasn't anything great. More flash than substance. The fact he never tried to redeem himself illustrates that point.

Whether guys like it or not, Broner in getting his ass whupped showed more balls than Hamed ever did.

What are you talking about? Hamed fought Barrera after the first Morales fight (where prevailing opinion was that he (barrera) had won and been gypped on the scorecards) ... Their rematch occurred AFTER MAB had defeated Hamed

As for the second bit, it doesn't show anything other than what you want it to show

well it was the first fight with morales-barrera not the rematch. but the rest is true.

well not really, we all know that hamed really lost to barrera because he came to nevada to train with steward. at prince ranch resorts. but as it so happens the dESERT caused hameds allergies to flare up

    I don't believe this for a second.

Pacquiao was a much better fighter than Hamed ever was and a southpaw as well. Manny got Morales by attrition in the rematch (clearly outboxed him in the first fight). Hamed's poor balance and footwork would make him an easy target for a straight puncher like Morales. That's the reason Barrera couldn't miss Hamed.

Hamed's only chance would be a one shot bomb and my gut tells me he'd be able to handle it just like MAB handled Hamed's best shots. I believe it was the second round when Hamed landed a bomb on MAB and MAB shook it off. After that Hamed pretty much laid down. I suspect he would have done the same when Morales handled his best shots.

The one thing you DON'T do against a taller fighter with a straight right hand is lean back with your hands by your side. Hamed would have been an easy target for Morales. Morales would have beaten his ass worse than Barrera. We all heard Steward BEGGING Hamed to throw shots but he was afraid to because he couldn't get out of the way.

Morales beats the dogshit out of Hamed. Game...blouses!

BTW...I remember Floyd saying he'd fight Hamed at 128 and Hamed wanted no part of that. Can you imagine how that would have turned out?

i remember being at the Mosley vs John Brown fight sitting behind Hamed's cokehead brother. he was claiming at the time hamed could move all the way up to middleweight and that he'd KO mosley.

MAB took Hamed's best shots? He was barely touched in that fight... You need to rewatch and stop with this "he laid down" nonsense, what hyperbolic bullshit... Barrera fought a damn near perfect fight, disciplined and cool, Hamed never got off good shots on him... He HAD to fight that perfect fight in order to win... It's why it was such a huge win and why MAB was deservedly praised for the performance... When has Morales ever done something similar? Morales turned damn near every fight into a war, often because he fought stupidly, couldn't control his temper... You make it sound like his win over Pac was comparitively one-sided with MAB's over Hamed, it wasn't... Furthermore, What relevance does the Pac fight (at 130, again, 130) have on this?... Pac and Hamed were southpaws, that's where the similarities end... The fought nothing alike... We could play that game all fucking day, i.e. "If Guty Espadas got robbed against Morales and had him on queer street late, just IMAGINE what Hamed would do!!!"

You don't believe it for a second because you don't want to believe it. Hamed is a seriously live dog against Morales. Some would make him a favorite. It's popular now to pretend the guy couldn't fight and that everybody picked MAB to win by outboxing him, but that's bullshit... The only picks for MAB I ever saw were wishful thinking picks where MAB would do a Carmen Basilio impersonation and bull Hamed around the ring, defeating him via brawling... Never once did I see any motherfuckers predicting that MAB would fight like a Sal Sanchez/Winky Wright hybrid and outbox the guy

In watching this it's clear Hamed's brothers were in way over their heads. They shared the same ego as Naseem.

Muzse Hates Hamed Because he has a WOODY for a Fighter's TECHNIQUE...Muzse was a Tad LATE to the Pacquiao Party as Well, Because of Manny's Obvious Technical Flaws (Featherweight Days)...

On the Flipside, Muzse, Donnybrook & Others RAVED Over Rocky Juarez, Initially, Because he SEEMED to Be Technically PROFICIENT...

w/Hamed Being Perhaps The Most Technically Flawed SUCCESSFUL Fighter Ever, Muzse will ALWAYS Hate on him...

The footage from 22:15-26:40 is revealing, he looked like absolute shite against two midgets, even Manny thought so. It's not the same guy.

It wasn't until this thread that I realized you're a Morales hater or Hamed lover. Probably a mixture of the two.

BTW, round two Hamed nailed MAB with his best shot and bloodied his nose. At 2:08 or so MAB catches MAB with a check hook and MAB shakes it off.

I find it hilarious that Hamed fans are down to blaming Barrera for being more skilled and prepared than Hamed was for MAB.

Hamed has no answers because MAB is simply a better fighter...just like Morales was.

    WOW!!!...

Your Level of HATE for Hamed is CONCERNING, Bro...You Should SERIOUSLY Consider IGNORING Threads/Posts about Him...

THE ONLY Reason Hamed DIDN'T Do the Flip vs. Barrera is Because Some COWARD Hurled a Cup of Beer on him, During his Skyward Ring Entrance...You Can CLEARLY See a Cup of Beer Tossed ON Hamed...He Gets to Ring Apron,Grabs the Ropes, Starts Swinging Backwards & 1 of his Gloves SLIPS OFF the Rope...From There, he WISELY Decided NOT to Flip Over the Ropes...

It's TRANSPARENT why Hamed Didn't Do the Flip that Day, Yet You've Managed to Convince Yourself it was Out of FEAR of Barrera???...

It's fair to say Manny proved to be better than expected.

Hamed proved to be a shame.

(edit) meant to type sham, but shame works as well

True...you clearly see Hamed get hit with the beer as he came into the ring. I'd also forgotten there was a delay in his getting into the ring (watching the fight as I type).

I loved this fight (Hamed vs. Barrera) at the time I used this fight as well as Floyd vs Corrales as teaching models as to how to jab, step back and counter, break distance and slip shots.

    Both fights are textbook lessons.
