Nothing should surprise you about an Ortiz fight. WHOsesito Lopez is a complete, and utter bum, and beat Victoria. The Collazo that got robbed against Hatton would beat the Hell outta Ortiz, but Collazo is probably LONG removed from being that fighter anymore. So Vicky has to be favored.

 

Agreed, nothing should be much of a surprise with Vicious Victor. He got stopped by Lopez. I know, broken jaw and all that, but Lopez basically beat him up and beat the fight out of him.

The thing is, I think to do that to Ortiz, you need to be aggressive and capable of a dog fight - just like Maidana and Lopez.

 

well yeah, but that was a really bad injury. I think if they had 9 rematches it would end up being at least 8-2 Ortiz.

 

Maybe but it's not like Ortiz was dominating and it was a 1 punch fluke. Lopez was starting to beat him up and land a lot of big shots, and you could see Ortiz getting discouraged etc.

 

I've only seen little bits of the fight to be fair so i should probably just shut my big hole about it. I guess I just like Ortiz. Maybe its the incongruous bow ties or the emotional vulnerability.
