Ronda is immature. And she's tough. And she's real. And she's a bitch. And she's very cool. Two people I watched the fight with last night summed her up well--she's like a high school girl and she's just like the Diaz brothers with whom she trains-call her a Diaz sister.

Shaking Tate's hand after that fight would have been the fakest thing I've ever seen Rousey do. There was no fucking way she was going to shake Tate's hand. She was probably pissed that she didn't get to snap her arm like she intended to do. So Tate gave her a tough fight, so what? Why would Rousey give a fuck about that? She doesn't like Tate genuinely. When you work yourself up and have play-hate, then you get that shit that we see in boxing where everything is cool afterwards and we can shake hands and pick roses together. But when it's real animosity, and the person is real, you would do what Rousey did.

185 is a really weak division. The only guy I think would have a chance against Weidman that they listed last night would be Machida. A clean Belfort will get his ass handed to him. GSP might be more inclined to move up to 185 now, though. I think he matches up a lot better with Weidman than Anderson.

I'm thinking that Anderson losing like that might be the most memorable ppv fight since Tyson/Holy 2.

By the way, there was nothing tough about that fight for Rousey. Just because it went longer, doesn't mean it was more difficult.

Tate spent so much time playing take down and armbar defense that she got pounded with strikes.

 

I think it really started when Miesha said she didn't think Ronda deserved a shot at the Strikeforce with only 5 pro fights.

Miesha went on a rant later about Ronda getting all the attention despite not "paying her dues" in the sport.

So essentially it's over shit that wouldn't phase mature adults.

 

Ronda Controlled the Majority of Every Round, but the Bout Itself was JUST Competitive Enough to Be Considered a TEST, in REED's Opinion...Especially when Compared to the Rest of Ronda's Fights, Thus Faaaaaar...Tate EXTENDED Ronda More than She Would've Liked...

 

Well, I do think we got answer about Rousey's gas tank. She kept an amazing pace and never stopped attacking.

Gotta admit, that was one thing that did impress me about Rousey yesterday. A high pace and no signs of slowing down. Heavy breathing or not, there was no signs of gassing. Her standup did look a bit better too.

 

Gotcha. So, not much, basically ::

 

JUST, yeah. Only comparatively too, being that her other fights haven't been competitive at all really, or got out of the 1st round. Looking at it objectively, it wasn't a tough fight.

I really like Tate, she is fun to watch and seems alright, but unfortunately she's just not that good. The only thing about her that stands out in any way is heart/toughness.

With some more seasoning, I'd love to see Julianna against Rousey.

Part of why Rousey is dominant is she is physically stronger than everyone she fights AND has better grappling technique.

Julianna might not have the technique but she is freakishly strong for a woman. Against all the TUF girls, it looked like someone beating up their little sister.

 

@ Some Point, Meisha's Gonna have to Decide what's MORE Important; LOOKS or FIGHTING...In CONSECUTIVE Bouts Now, She's Gotten Her Grill Busted Up Pretty Good...She's STILL Hot, but Repeated Asswhippings DETERIORATE Even the Prettiest of Faces....

 

Yeah, Ronda's STRONG as Hell & a BIG Chick for 135...Julianna Might Be THE ONLY Woman Near the Weight that Has Even a REMOTE Chance of Matching Rousey's PHYSICALITY...But like You said, Let's Allow Julianna a Fight or 2, to Get Some SEASONING...Maybe Fight Rousey @ the END of 2014/EARLY 2015...Julianna vs. Meisha would be an Interesting Fight, but it's Doubtful it'll EVER Happen Because of their Friendship...

 

REED was Sooooo JAZZED After the Fights Last Night, he Went Home & Youtubed Some Cat Zingano Bouts...She's VERY Athletic, Tough & Skilled, but She was Being OVERPOWERED by Meisha, Early in their Fight...Rousey would Manhandle Zingano, or WOMANhandle, as the Case May Be...

 

Speaking of bull-strength, Rousey picked Tate up by her arm and almost slammed her à la Rampage Jackson. That's not typical in chick fights.

McMann's absolute lack of finishing ability will be a huge problem against Rousey.

Plus, wrestlers have typically struggled with high level judo players in MMA.

Alexis Davis has to be wondering "WTF?". The UFC jumped right over her.

It's hard to believe that Rousey will be fighting again in less than 2 months. It does significantly improve an otherwise mediocre card. It's pretty cool to see a chick fight steal poster space from Evans and Cormier.
