The problem is some left brained people lack common sense

First of all, it is INARGUABLE that all types of behaviors can be manipulated. Predisposition to certain behaviors is certainly a thing, but the extreme hypothesis that learned behavior has absolutely nothing to do with how people react and treat others is absurd.
If this was the case, I wouldn't have a career path, because there would be no need for psychologists.

Now what he was implying was that because Victor Ortiz grew up "tough" that he should have some predisposition to anger and aggressive behavior which is obviously flawed when you have absolutely zero knowledge of the many variable involved there.

It certainly could be a combination of Ortiz having a naturally defensive personality type as well as being babied by his mother or something.

Absolutely correct on all counts. I think in my mind, that all behaviour can be manipulated with some harder than others. It's harder to keep a kiddy fiddler away from children then me from a burger restaurant. I would guess that the first example is a behaviour that is more influenced by genes than others. The variables that ultimately determine behaviour are countless. Social situations also play a role and can be very different and also be perceived very different by different people. To say genes play no role and you just have to bring people (dogs, whatever) up the right way is just as wrong as not acknowledging your point, though.

I thought he said he knew people who grew up tough and still didn't act like a jerk all the time like Ronda does, meaning genetics play a certain role. Some are more capable of overcoming a tough upbringing than others. Although that could also be result of social factors that played a role before that or afterwards - it's hard to say.

    definitely

This is a good video of how Rousey does the armbar.

It's amazing how fluid and quickly Ronda applies such perfect technique.

You can tell it is all instinct at this point, and she doesn't have to hesitate for even a millisecond about what to do next.

dsimon and valdosta both reappear at the same time. hmmm.

I was thinking that Weidman/Silva 2 was the most memorable ppv result since Holyfield/Tyson 2. But here we are with only 9 pages of discussion and a lot of it not about that fight. Maybe there's only so much you can say about the GOAT martial artist having a leg go stretch armstrong, but I would have expected more than this.

False, I reappeared when I said Erdei isn't really the linear champ since he lost recently.

Chris Weidman defeated Anderson Silva by a second round stoppage. Ronda Rousey defeated Meisha Tate by a third round tapout.

I disagree. Many kids feel they have to live up to their parents' expectations.

Upbringing has very little to do with combative behaviour, aggression, or anger??? That's just not true. Combative behaviour, aggression, and even anger have a lot to do with upbringing. They're traits that are even encouraged by vicarious parents who live through their kids when those kids get into competitive sports.

You really cannot encourage anger and aggression.

    It's a behavioral trait.

You can push someone to a breaking point but you cannot really make someone's temperament.

Abuse is just as likely to make someone a coward than it is to make them resentful and vengeful.

Yep, I'm not nearly as educated on this topic as it appears some of my fellow posters. That being said, I don't give a shit. I've raised kids and AM the kid of an ultra competitive, diabolically driven father. It is the BIGGEST factor.
