When Gene Hackman shows up and starts briefing Smith's character that is when I was so pleasantly surprised to discover that his character was the same from 'The Conversation'. That was great!! Movie magic!!

The Conversation is a masterpiece... essential viewing... I love this film

The whole cast is great... Arguably Gene Hackman's finest moment as an actor (either this or Popeye Doyle)
