The Wolf of Wall Street

Loved it! 9/10 for me.

 

8.8 rating on imdb. Not bad. Another classic by Martin Scorcese? I'll wait for the bluray though.

 

I will watch this next weekend. I have high expectations on it, Scorcese & Di Caprio has usually worked well

 

It's getting some mixed reviews. I'm sure it's good or very good but probably not a classic like his earlier stuff. But back then he had prime DeNiro/Pesci working for him, now he's stuck with Di Caprio.

 

It's not as good as Goodfellas or Casino, if that's what you're asking.

I prefer it over The Departed, however.

It's different however, because it's more of a comedy type than Goodfellas/Casino/The Departed.

BTW - Dicaprio shits on Pesci as an actor, although not as an individual personality in those two movies.

 

DiCaprio is good, with some very good performances. Pesci is great.

 

DiCaprio is great, and still underrated

 

Pesci ain't no great actor. He's a good actor who had one great character. I say one, because he basically played the same character in both Goodfellas, and Casino.

Overall though, he's nowhere near as talented as Leo. To suggest otherwise is pretty stupid.

 

DiCaprio is not underrated. I think he's pretty overrated and nothing special, but I digress.

 

Pesci has no goddamn versatility. What the Hell could he ever play well besides a mobster?

I'd take Leo in The Aviator alone over anything from Pesci.

 

Aviator, Gilbert Grape, Catch Me If You Can, three great performances by Leo of the top of my head

 

DiCaprio's performance in Django Unchained shits on everything Pesci has done in all his career.

 

Pesci is the greatest actor in human history.

 

DiCaprio is great. Too bad he has to share a screen with Jonah Hill.

 

DiCaprio is amazing! Jonah Hill is a fat bottom feeding Jew that doesn't belong in anything but Seth Rogan movies..

Revolutionary Road was a good performance by him, I agree. Michael Shannon stole that movie though, and DiCaprio's friend was just as good as him as was Kate WInslet. I just don't think he's among the cream of the crop of his generation of actors, he doesen't have that streak of genius that DeNiro had for example, that makes his performances stand out.
