Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne will indeed collide in a No. 1 Heavyweight contender eliminator match, with the showdown now confirmed to take place at UFC on FOX 11 from Amway Center‬ in Orlando, Fla., on April 19, 2014.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) shared the awesome news earlier this evening via Twitter.com.

Werdum, of course, was next in line to challenge division champion Cain Velasquez thanks to three consecutive wins over Roy Nelson, Mike Russow and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. However, "Brown Pride" was sidelined indefinitely because of shoulder surgery, forcing the Brazilian to remain active against the red-hot "Hapa."

Browne is fresh off an impressive first round stoppage of Josh Barnett at UFC 168 in Dec. 2013, plugging the ear of "War Master" with repeated elbows until he lost consciousness. Prior to that beat down, Browne stopped Alistair Overeem with a front kick to the face (and punches) and Gabriel Gonzaga with the same elbows that stopped Barnett.

The winner of this match, without a doubt, will establish himself as the clear-cut top Heavyweight contender in 2014. And could emerge a future world champion, unless Velasquez has something to say about it.

And you can bet he will when healthy.

UFC on FOX 11 will also feature a women's Bantamweight showdown between former No. 1-ranked contenders, Miesha Tate and Liz Carmouche. No other bouts, including the main event, for UFC on FOX 11 are known at this time

Travis' demonic elbows could be a huge weapon against Cain and his takedowns up against the fence.
